CFFL Week 12

Wow!  We are almost to the end of the regular season!  Only two more weeks to go as we get back into the divisional play the next two weeks.  Only one division has been decided, the East with the defending Champ Sinistars sitting at 11-1.  But all the others are still in question...

The North is pretty much the Chislers after they won and the Crew lost.  They now hold a one game lead over the Crew.  Only chance for Crew is if they win next two and Chislers lose next 2.

The South is still a two team race and the Dragons have the one game lead over Killer Bees. Huge game this week as the Dragons travel to the Bees.  The Bees having a 4-0 division record and having beat the Dragons in Week 2, winning this game will put the Bees in the driver seat.  Dragons win, the are South Champs.

The West is living up to it's name;  Wild Wild West!  Whales lead the division, but Killers, Legion AND Crush all one game behind.  The Crush, who seemed to be dead, have won 3 in a row, including wins against the 2 of the best teams in the league (Chislers and Crew).

Here is what happened in the CFFL's longest week ever (Thanksgiving, which seemed like a month ago, to Wednesday!)

Crush 27  Crew 6 - What happened to the Crew??  Only 6 points.  Too much turkey and stuffing?  No points from Murray.  No points from Metcalf.  No points from Hopkins.  No points from CEH.  Crush got 2 scores from Evans as they make a run at the playoffs.

Evans scores 2 against a lifeless Crew

Juggernauts 32  Titans 11 - Juggs could have just started a kicker and beat the Titans. Younghoe Koo kicked in 19 points!  Titans have been lifeless lately.  I don't anticipate they will take any Rams next year...
Koo Kicks

Dragons 38  Cocktails 36 - Well this one got interesting.  After the Dragons flew out to a 38-0 lead on Thanksgiving, thanks to 17 points from Watson that included two 10 point connections to Fuller (which has been lost for the season due to PED violation), the Cocktails mounted their comeback.  Tyreek Hill led the team scoring 3 times!  They needed just one more score from someone, anyone, and they would have won the game.
Watson was heaving it on Thanksgiving!

Sinistars 47  Killer Bees 19 - Can anyone stop the Sinistar Machine??  They just keep rolling along.  This week they get 3 TDs on Thanksgiving from Antonio "Debbie" Gibson.  Even his defense got in the act on Wednesday scoring.  Could they be the first repeat champion since the Chislers did it in 2011-2012?
Gibson scored 3 times on Turkey Day!

Krauts 33 Mayhem 24 - Mayhem were in the lead in this one at the start of Monday Night, 24-22.  But that quickly went away as Mayhem kicker Jason "Michael" Myers kicked for 11 points giving the Krauts the victory.
Myers kicked game winning points

Ferrets 49 Iron Legion 27 - What's up with the Ferrets!?  They score 49 points and knock off the Legion who is in playoff contention.  Ferrets were led by Taysom Hill's 12 points.  And just about everyone else got in the act scoring TDs.

Hill only runs TDs in, never passes...

Animals 53  Killers 30 - And another team out of the playoffs, the Animals drop a 50-burger on the Killers, who are fighting for a playoff spot.  They did manage to score 30 points with their Buccaneers, but this all in strategy may come back to bite them.  Animals got 12 points from Kenyan "Hate the" Drake and 12 from Allen Robinson.

Good player lost on a losing team...

Chislers 36  Whales 21 - With a chance to put a strangle hold on the West, the Whales couldn't get past "King" Henry and the Chislers.  Henry scored 3 times and looked to be a man among boys.  Even Mahomes couldn't do it all on his own, despite 12 points.

Henry a beast!!

Player of the Week:  Younghoe Koo, K, Juggernauts - 19 points (kickers are players too)

Kickers are football players too, and are weird..

Here is the look at the current playoff picture:
