CFFL 2021 Playoffs and FB XXXVII Preview

The semi-final round of the CFFL playoffs were not exactly very exciting, as each game wasn't really close.  We do have a match up of prior Fantasy Bowl Champions and another chance for a Cherry to hoist the CFFL Fantasy Bowl Trophy...

Here is how the games finished up...

Animals 41  Sinistars 25 - At a cold and windy day at Orchard Park, NY the Animals managed to defeat the Sinistars by 16 points!  The Sinistars did have a lead to start the game, and at one point it looked like they might pull it off, but Animals Tee "Mrs Sue" Higgins put an end to that with 2 scores.  They also went with Jalen Hurts and he had 8 points versus Sinistars' Carr's 4.  Defense was huge but not needed.  With a 29-25 lead the Animals would get 12 more from their Dallas D on Sunday Night.

Higgins hauls in 2 TDs for the Animals

The Sinistars may finally rethink their philosophy on QBs as has been mentioned in this blog several times.  They never really could settle on a solid QB and finished the year with Carr and Mac Jones.  I did like their RB by committee Broncos.  But their year comes to an end and the Animals move on to play in only their 2nd Fantasy Bowl since entering the league in 1999.

Carr finishes season one game short

Krauts 44  Whales 29 - On a snowy night in Berlin, the Krauts were victorious defeating the Whales and moving onto the their 3rd Fantasy Bowl since entering the league in 2002.  With the Whales getting Hill and Antonio Brown back, plus Mahomes and McLaurin it would appear the Krauts might be in trouble.  Rodgers would get things started on Christmas day with a 12 point day.  Mahomes would match that 12 points, but didn't get that 10 point connection to Hill.  The Krauts then just hit on all cylinders. Montgomery scored.  A.J. Brown was back and scored.  Andrews scored.  Schultz scored.  When the dust finally settled the Whales were harpooned.

Rodgers and a 12 point Christmas Day for Krauts

The Whales orchestrated a first ever draft day trade to get Tyreek Hill and for the most part it worked out and it won more than a few games throughout the season.  Mahomes, while definitely not a weak point, had a moment mid season that slumped a bit, but showed up for the playoffs. If there was a weak link with this team it was the RBs with Hunt the anchor, he was injured throughout the season and the Whales never really found a solid duo.  Whales will be back...

Fantasy Bowl XXXVII Preview

Kretz Krauts at Alex Animals

The stage is set for the 37th edition of the CFFL Fantasy Bowl!  It will be played in Orchard Park, New
York at Highmark Stadium as the Alex Animals from the North welcome the Kretz Krauts all the way from Berlin, Germany.  This international showdown will pit two teams that have undefeated records in the Fantasy Bowl.  The Animals defeated the Killers in FB XXXIII 28-21 in their only trip to the Fantasy Bowl.  The Krauts are 2-0 in Fantasy Bowls defeating the Ferrets 38-28 in FB XXIII and the Wrecking Crew 38-23 in FB XXV.  If this is any indication that the Krauts are North killers than the Animals might be in trouble.

Quarterbacks - Rodgers vs. Hurts
Clearly the advantage here goes to the Krauts.  Rodgers, even with his Sgt. Hulka Toe issues can easily score double digits and gets a revenge game against the Vikings.  Hurts can surprise sometimes with his legs.
Advantage Krauts
Kraut General Rodgers

Running Backs - Montgomery/ Penny vs. Chubb
With the injury to Robinson for the Animals, this puts the team with just one back playing.  Now that one player is one of the best RBs in the league in Chubb "Chubb, Chubb".  Montgomery scored last week and Penny has scored 3 times in past 3 weeks.  Now Penny is playing the Lions, but I'm not making that mistake again and saying that should be easy (see Crew Round 1 Cards vs Lions). Even short handed Animals might have slight edge
Advantage:  EVEN
Chubb will be key to an Animal victory

Wide Receivers - Brown/Andrews/Schultz vs. Higgins/Gronk/Henry/Waller?Moore?St. Brown "Eye"?
Krauts having A.J. Brown back certainly helps.  Will Waller be back for the Animals?  Can Andrews and Schultz keep up their recent production?  Higgins is definitely the best of this group but will be facing the Chiefs in a let down spot for the Bengals.  Slight advantage goes to the Krauts with A.J. Brown back.
Advantage:  Krauts
Brown is Back

Kickers - Prater vs. Folk
Prater has been a head case lately and missed field goals and XPs last week.  Folk will be playing the Jags.  Enough said!
Advantage: Animals
Nick "The Dick" Folk

Defense/ST - Vikings vs Cowboys
Vikings will be playing the Packers, while the Cowboys will be playing the Cards and have ball hawk Diggs.
Advantage: Animals
Can Cowboys score twice again?

Outlook:  Sunday night has Vikings/Packers, meaning the Animals will be hoping for a big lead before that game.  However, Monday night has Browns/Steelers giving the Animals a last chance for the victory with their best player on the team, Nick Chubb.  Chubb may need a 12 point game to pull this win off.  Krauts to get their 3rd title and move into a tie for second place with the Crew in championships with 3.
Prediction:  Krauts 39 Animals 36

Happy New Year everyone!!!

CFFL 2021 Playoffs 1st Round

There is a motto in the CFFL that continues to hold true..."Just get in".  That being just get in the playoffs because anything can happen.  And it did this week.  All of the division champions lost giving very little meaning to winning your division other than pride and a mark in the almanac.  None of the games were really close.  Top seed Crew with the number one offense and a record of 12-2 certainly would have no problem with Arizona playing the lowly Lions, right?  And the number 2 seed Killers, with the second best offense in the league, certainly wouldn't have any issues with the Buccaneers playing at home to the struggling Saints, right?  As the famous Lee Corso would say, "Not so fast my friend!"

Sinistars 24  Wrecking Crew 18 - Unfortunately for the Crew they entered the playoffs limping, with Conner banged up and Harris out with a hammy.  But they still had plenty of fire power and favorable matchups.  Conner would play and against the Lions, no problem.  Well Murray would only score 4 points and Conner zilch.  What about "A, B," CeeDee Lamb?  Cowboys had plenty of trips to redzone, but no.  Mike Williams?  Same.  Deebo "Dabo Sweeny" Samuel would score once, but really needed one more TD to give them a chance.  Sinistars started out hot with 12 points from Kelce early and really struggled to find points but scored enough.  Neither of his Bronco Backs scored (Williams and Gordon).  The Sinistars move on to face the Animals, another North opponent.

Kelce scored 12 for the Sinistars

Whales 38  Killers 15 - Whales put the pressure on the Killers early in this game with 13 points from Mahomes including a 10 point connection to Tyreek Hill to tale an early 19-6 lead.  Killers were still very confident with Mixon, Brady and Evans still to go.  Mixon would get banged up during the game and the Buccaneers would completely get shut out.  Evans got hurt too during the game.  It was a disaster for the Killers.  The Whales on the other hand rolled with A.J. "Tree Trunks" Dillon and Jeffery Wilson both scoring on the ground (seems better than Rashard Penny).  7 points from Robbie Gould would round out a pretty decent performance.  They now have to travel to dreary miserable Berlin to face the Krauts.

Mahomes gets 13 points early for Whales

Krauts 42  Cocktails 24 - The Krauts finally made the long cold march into Russia and came out victorious!  They were firing on all cylinders this week.  Aaron Rodgers scored 12 (the Sgt. Hulka Toe doesn't seem to be a bother) and Mark Anderws "Sisters" had 12.  Shultz and Prater would have 6 each and they quickly were putting this game out of reach. Cocktails got 6 from Taylor early, but really couldn't find too many points elsewhere.  He had a nice counter to Rodgers with MVS but Jacobs let them down with no points and only 8 from Stafford.  He would have needed a 20 point performance from Stafford to win, but that was before Gibson for the Krauts drove the final nail in the Cocktails coffin.  Krauts welcome the Whales to Berlin in the semis.

Rodgers' 12 points leads the Krauts

Animals 31  Titans 12 - The Titans didn't really put up much of a fight against the Animals scoring only 12 points.  6 from Tanehill and 6 from Davante Adams.  Barkley just hasn't been the same since his injury.  His starting kicker was Buccaneers kicker Succop, and we all know what happened to the Bucs.  Animals went with Cousins and luckily that decision (instead of Hurts) didn't HURT him.  Hurts scored 16 points Tuesday night.  Hunter Henry had 2 scores in the victory and Chubb "chubb, chubb, chubb" scored once.  The Animals will host the Sinistars in the semis.

Cousins didn't do much but he did enough

The playoffs continue and the Chinese Wuhan Virus seems to be reeking havoc, potentially in the CFFL, even if most if not all of the players are fine and vaccinated, but just test positive...whatever.  But in any case it may come down to whose bench is the deepest and strongest.  Or it might not matter at all if you have several cases of Chinese Wuhan Virus.  But in any case we move on and play the games!

Playoffs Round 2:

Sinistars at Animals  - The Animals were the top wild card seed and now assume the role of top seed in the playoffs.  They are led by Kirk Cousins, or maybe Jalen Hurts.  Not sure who yet, but he does have options.  Cousins is probably the more consistent player, but Hurts is a risk reward player.  You start him and you risk getting nothing or double digits!  Running backs are strong with Chubb anchoring the ground game and has 8 TDs on the season.  Robinson might get the start over Freeman.  "Mrs. Sue" Higgins and the TE tandem of Gronkowski and Henry could be dangerous.  Gronk should bounce back.

"Put me in coach!"

Sinistars better hope to score more than 24 points to win this game.  Raiders / Broncos game could be huge for the Sinistars if they start Carr as they will likely start the Bronco Backs of Williams and Gordon.  I would imagine they will get back on track and at least score a few.  But will they start Mac Jones again instead of Carr.  Jones plays the Bills and last time they played he threw the ball like 2 times...Kelce and K.I. T.T. "Boy" L.E. are still dangerous.  However, Kelce has been put on the Chinese Wuhan Virus list at this time.  He is fully vaccinated and may make it back for the game but still to be determined.  Sinistars hope to get another early 12 point head start on Thursday as Kittle plays Thursday night.

Sinistars hoping for a big game from this clown

This game should be a close one.  I give the edge slightly to the Sinistars with more potential for points. If those Bronco Backs get rolling and Kelce ends up playing they certainly have the edge.  I suspect that Hurts will get the start instead of Cousins who plays against the Rams.  If Hurts can keep up his double digit scoring for another week that will give the Animals a Chance.

Prediction:  Sinistars 31-27

Whales at Kruats - The Whales, based on the west coast, traveled all the way to sunny warm Tampa to beat the Killers and now have to travel to Berlin to take on the Krauts where the weather is expected to be in the 30s with chance of snow showers.  They are facing their own Chinese Wuhan Virus issues with Tyreek Hill on the list.  With him on the list and potentially not playing that takes his 10 point connection away.  Antonio Brown might be back and could be a good replacement.  Its really going to be on the shoulders of Mahomes.  He must have a massive game for the Whales to have a shot.  I can't see another 12 point performance from running backs of Wilson and Dillon.

"Come on Tyreek!"

Aaron Rodgers leads the Kruats on Christmas Day and is hoping for Christmas Day Magic.  He will clearly set the tone of the week for the game.  If he has a big game it could be difficult for the Whales to mount a comeback.  Mark Andrews is clearly the second best player on this Krauts squad.  He scored twice last week and has 9 scores on the season.  Gibson has 8 TDs on the season and is a solid back.  However outside of that it may be hard to find consistency.  We could see a change in the backfield with Penny instead of Montgomery.  Schultz and Aiyuk are hit and miss.

Rock on Aaron!

It will be Mahomes vs Rodgers.  Who will out score who?  Whoever seems to get the edge with QBs will be the team with the best chance to pull out the win and move onto the Fantasy Bowl.  This game is pretty even, but Andrews and Gibson give the edge to the Krauts.  What will Santa bring on Christmas day?  Lump of coal for Rodgers or a bright shiny new bike?

Prediction:  Krauts 36-24

Merry Christmas everyone!!

CFFL Week 14 and Playoff Preview

The regular season has come to an end and now it is onto the playoffs.  The North will be sending 2 teams to the playoffs; the number 1 seed Wrecking Crew and the Animals.  The East will be sending three teams, of course.  The Cocktails, Krauts and Sinistars.  The West are sending two teams, the Killers and the Whales again, and the South are sending just one team per usual, the Titans.  Two new teams (Animals and Titans) in the playoffs while the rest were in the playoffs last year.  The Chislers and Dragons were the teams they replaced.

But before we take a look at the first round of the playoffs, let's take a look at what transcribed in the final week of the regular season...

Wrecking Crew 36  Animals 21 - The Crew were down 21-12 going into Monday night, but they were not very worried having Murray, Conner and GAY!  Well thankfully Conner scored twice and Gay kicked 12 more since Murray was held scoreless in the win.  The Crew win their 9th division title and 19th playoff appearance (3rd trip in a row).  This will be the Animals 9th trip to the playoffs.

Conner scores twice in the win!

Chislers 41  Ferrets 30 - Ferrets gave the Chislers all they had with 12 big points from Justin Herbert and had a 30-29 lead going into Monday night.  However Chislers had Ram WRs Jefferson and Kupp vs. Ferret WR "Captain" Kirk.  Both Jefferson and Kupp would score and Kirk would not.  Chislers needed to win to hopefully get in the playoffs, but also needed the Sinistars and Legion to lose.  Legion lost, but Sinistars did not.  This is only the second time the Chislers have missed the playoffs in the past 13 years!

Allen scored 14 points for the Chislers

Dragons 33  Killer Bees 25 - Dragons got some satisfaction by defeating the hated Bees and preventing them from making the playoffs.  They were led by a 10 point connection from Wilson to Lockett and 10 points from Justin "Mother" Tucker.  Dragons then survived late scores by Aaron Jones Sunday night.  It was an otherwise disappointing season for the Dragons who were expecting big things from Wilson and Lockett but never really took off.  Last year they won the South.

Wilson and Locket connect for a 10 point connection

Titans 38  Warbirds 15 - Finally the Titans played like they actually wanted to win the South!  They were able to get 6 points from both Tannehill and Barkley and then 12 huge points from Davante Adams.  This is the Titans very first division title since entering the league in 2007 and only their 2nd playoff appearance.  The Whirlybirds were let down by Lamar Jackson all year and in the final week of the season he had ZERO points.

Adams gets in the end zone twice for Titans!

Cocktails 32  Juggernauts 19 - The Cocktails managed to capture the Eastern Bloc with their win over the Juggernauts and this was without Taylor who was on a bye.  They got 12 points late from Stafford plus 6 points from their Tennessee Defense.  This is the Cocktails 2nd division title (2019) and their 6th  playoff trip (4th in a row) since entering the league in 2014.  Since 2005, the Juggs continue to listen to the false propaganda that is spread by the Krauts, missing the playoffs for the 6th straight year.

Stafford led the Cocktails to victory!

Sinistars 59  Krauts 33 - The Sinistars took care of business by defeating the Krauts and making the playoffs. They were led by their Bronco Duo Backfield of Gordon and Williams.  I mean why not?  If you have two RBs that get pretty much equal play, why not play both and each time they make it to the red zone one of them will be in.  And that was the case this week as they both scored twice!  Kraut QB Rodgers threw for 16 points but didn't get much help elsewhere on the team.  This will be the Krauts 14th playoff appearance and 5th in a row since entering the league in 2002.  This is the Sinistars 7th playoff appearance in a row and 12th since entering the league in 2005!

These two combined for 24 points!

Crush 62  Legion 44 - Wow!  The Crush lit up the scoreboard to finish an otherwise miserable season. 4 players scored 12 points each!  CEH and Najee Harris both scored twice and Ja'Marr Chase had 12 points along with kicker Cairo Santos "Todd Chontos".  This ended the Legions run for the playoffs, who just needed to win to get in the playoffs.  The Crush have missed the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row.

Harris scores twice for Crush, but wishes he was
with the Crew and in the playoffs...

Killers 41  Whales 22 - The Killers thumped the Whales to win the West for their second division title in a row.  Tom Brady scored 14 points including another 10 point connection to Mike Evans.  They managed to survive the early games where the Whales had Mahomes and Hill going and they only had a total of 8 points.  The interesting thing is the Killers will have to try to do it again in the first round and Whales will be looking for some revenge.  This is both teams' 2nd consecutive playoff trip and the Killers 3rd overall.

Brady passes for 14 points

Player of the Week:  Aaron Rodgers, QB, Krauts - 16 points

1st Round Playoff Preview:

Stamm's Sinistars (8-6) at R.C. Wrecking Crew (12-2)

The Crew enter the playoffs as the number 1 seed and the top scoring team in the CFFL led by Kyler
Murray and the draft pick of the year, 6th round pick James Conner who has 16 TDs on the season!  Damien Williams is no slouch in the back field either.  A very strong group of WRs include Lamb, Deebo "Dabo Sweeny" Samuel, Metcalf (who hasn't scored since being traded to the Crew) and Mike Williams.  Plus Dawson Knox and Pittman.  Matt GAY! is the 2nd highest scoring kicker.

Sinistars will roll out their Bronco Backs again and are a threat every week to rack up some points.  They have two of the best TEs in Kelce and Kittle and lately Kittle has been a monster.  He will need to be one to give the Sinistars a chance.  Weak point is probably QB and has been all year.  Mac Jones and Derek Carr are the QBs and it will be interesting to see who gets the start Sunday.

These two teams met in Week 11 with the Sinistars getting the upset win 27-21 with a Murray-less Crew team.  This game might not be that easy for the Sinistars as it appears Crew are 100% and the likelyhood of the Bronco Backs scoring 24 points is slim.

Line: Crew -8
While the Crew will likely win, I would take the points and the Sinistars in a closer game than anticipated.

Monterey Bay Whales (8-6) at Cam's Killers (10-4)

The Killers were the second highest scoring team and will face the Whales in what is quickly becoming quite the rivalry in their short time in the league.  Killers key to success is certainly Tom Brady and his connection to Mike Evans that is a deadly 10 point connection.  But you can't forget RB Joe Mixon who, until last week, was on a streak of consecutive weeks scoring a TD.  They will have Jake Elliot back kicking in this game, but Deonte Harris will still be on suspension which is a blow to their passing game.

The Whales are led by Mahomes and Hill, which can be one of the most deadly 10 connections in the league.  However as of late it hasn't been past 4 weeks.  But when they do get it going they really get it going and have two games of double digit 10 point connections.  Outside of that the Whales have struggled to find consistent production.  Hunt is hurt and the team is made up of a lot of back up RBs.  Hubbard is a starter but he is no McCaffery.

Last week Killers defeated Whales 41-22 but in Week 1 the Whales were victorious 39-31.  It's Tom Brady vs. Patrick Mahomes.  Kind of sounds like a Super Bowl, doesn't it?

Line: Killers -3
Hard to beat a team in back to back weeks, but I think the Killers do it.  With KC playing Thursday, the Whales will be looking to get a big lead to start, but then the Buccaneers don't play until Sunday Night against the Saints at home.  That could get ugly.  Lay the points with the Killers.

Kretz Krauts (8-6) at Molotov Cocktails (9-5)

In another divisional rematch, the Cocktails will look to defeat the Krauts for second consecutive time.  The Cocktails have been one of the most active franchises on the waiver wire or in trades as they traded for Matthew Stafford hoping to improve their chances to make another run to the Fantasy Bowl.  Jonathan Taylor will be back in the line up and is one of the top backs in the league leading all RB in scoring.  The WRs are a bit of a hodgepodge of wideouts and they hope that Thielen can return to the starting line up.

Krauts are led by Aaron Rodgers and his toe.  He can take over a game on his own.  They have some dangerous WRs with Hopkins, Andrews and Aiyuk when he starts.  The RBs haven't been all that strong and certainly not nearly as potent as the Cocktails Taylor and Jacobs.  But Gibson and Montgomery can score but haven't a lot all year.  Having AJ Brown on IR has not helped this team.

Line:  Krauts -5
Maybe Vegas knows something I don't, but I would take the red hot Cocktails right now and I'm getting points?  Yes please!

Alex's Animals (8-6) at Toledo Titans (7-7)

The Animals will have a decision to make at QB between Cousins or Hurts.  Hurts has been a threat to score on the ground that might give him a leg up.  Actually he is better scoring on the run than passing.  Nick Chubb "Chubb, Chubb, Chubb" is a solid back and should get back in the endzone this week.  Tee "Mrs Sue" Higgins is likely their top wideout but you can't count out Gronk, who this week could have a big day against the Saints in Tampa.  Its not looking good for Waller to get back in the lineup, but if he can that certainly will make things easier for the Animals.

Titans enter the playoffs for only the second time.  Tannehill will likely be the QB and hasn't exactly lit up the score boards.  They may need to lean on Davante Adams, who is clearly their best player.  He won't be able to do it all.  Barkley finally scored last week, his first score since Week 4!  The Titans need him to keep it going to give them a chance.  Ertz has been a pleasant surprise and could certainly find the end zone as well.

Line:  Animals -1
There are too many things that have to go just right for the Titans for them to pull this off.  Lay the short 1 with the Animals.

CFFL 2021 Week 13

We are down the to the final week of the regular season in the CFFL.  Hard to believe that we are at the end.  We wait all Winter, Spring and Summer for the season to start and it feels like in a blink of an eye it's over.  Well 6 teams have locked in playoff spots, but only the North Division has been decided.  Playoff teams that have clinched are the Crew, Killers, Cocktails, Animals, Krauts, and Whales.  Killer Bees, Legion, Sinistars Chislers and Titans battle for the final two spots.

Full playoff picture below, but first, what happened in Week 13 of the 2021 CFFL season...

Wrecking Crew 45  Chislers 38 - The Crew hang on against the Chislers who had about as well
rounded scoring effort form his team as you can.  Every single player on the Chislers' team scored a TD, unfortunately, Josh Allen and Tyler Bass both only had 4 points.  With the score 45-38 the Chislers really just needed an Allen TD run and with an XP would have tied the game.  But with the windy conditions it would not happen.  Crew got their starting QB Kyler Murray back and he did not disappoint scoring 20 points.

Murray is back for the Crew!

Animals 44  Ferrets 34 - The Animals clinched a wild card spot with their win against the Ferrets, fighting off 14 points from Ferret QB Herbert.  They got the scoring started with a pick 6 from their Cowboy defense and then followed that up with 12 points from Gronkowski.  "Mrs Sue" Higgins also scored for the Animals in the win.

Gronk score 2 TD, Gronk spike ball...

Warbirds 28  Dragons 21 - The Warbirds played spoilers this week defeating the Dragons and ending their playoff hopes.  The Warbirds got 12 big points from Dionte "Rocket" Johnson who has quietly scored 6 times this season.  Lamar Jackson had another disappointing week, scoring only 4 points.  He was the Warbirds top pick but hasn't really lived up to expectations.

Johnson for the Warbirds scores twice!

Killer Bees 9  Titans 7 - If we hadn't had a 7-6 game earlier, this might have been the record for the lowest scoring game in CFFL history.  It's like no one wants to win the South.  Dragons lose to the Warbirds and the Titans, needing just a win to capture the south can't manage to beat the Bees who only scored 9 points (all from his kicker).  In fact the only players to score in this game was their kickers.  Brutal.

Somehow the Bees came out on top...

Juggernauts 38  Sinistars 33 - The Juggernauts dealt a big blow to the playoff hopes of the Sinistars in the upset.  Sinistars are now on the outside looking in and need help to get in the playoffs.  The Juggernauts got 13 points from Kennan Allen in the win, while QBs continued to be a thorn in the Sinistars side as Carr came up empty but back up Mac Jones was no better.

Allen's 13 points helped Juggs upset the Sinistars!

Cocktails 35  Krauts 29 - In a huge game in the East, the Cocktails came away victorious and now are in the driver seat to win the East.  The Krauts could have clinched the East with a win but, per usual, the long march into Russia from Berlin proved to be too much.  Cocktails got 12 points from Stafford and 2 more TDs from Taylor who now has 18 TDs on the year after going scoreless in the first three weeks of the season!  He is making his case for CFFL MVP.

Taylor has 18 TDs on the season!

Killers 37  Iron Legion 23 - The Killers won their 7th game in a row, longest current streak, but still haven't clinched the West as the Whales won again.  It was a Tom Brady and kicker Jake Elliott show for the Killers.  Brady threw for 16 points and Elliott kicked 15 points.

Good Ole Tom!

Whales 17  Crush 14 - Whales kept pace with the Killers by beating the Crush lining up a big game next week against the Killers.  Mahomes had a mediocre week with only 6 points but seems like its only a matter of time before he starts scoring double digits consistently, in time for the playoffs.

Mahomes leading the Whales to the playoffs

Player of the Week:  Kyler Murray, QB, Wrecking Crew - 20 points

Playoff Picture:

Division Leaders                  Wildcard
x-1. Wrecking Crew 11-2    y-5. Animals 8-5 (456)
y-2. Killers 9-4                    y-6. Krauts 8-5 (425)
y-3. Cocktails 8-5                y-7. Whales 8-5 (404)
4. Killer Bees 6-7                8. Iron Legion 7-6 (388)

In the Hunt
Sinistars 7-6 (316)
Chislers 6-7 (433)
Titans 6-7 (302)

Here is how the final week shapes up and how teams can clinch...

South
- Bees can clinch the South with a win over the the Dragons or a Titan loss
- Titans need to win and have the Bees lose to the Dragons to win the South
- Either way only one team will make playoffs, Bees or Titans by winning division.

East
- Cocktails just need to a win against the Juggernauts, or a Kraut loss to clinch the East
- Krauts need a win but also a Cocktail loss.  Krauts really had this division but are letting it slip through their fingers.

West
- In the game of the week the winner of the Killers vs. Whales games are champions of the West.  If Whales win, they tie the Killers but hold tie breaker as they beat them in Week 1 39-31.

Final Wildcard Spot
- Legion are in with a win over the Crush.  If they lose they need Sinistars and Chislers to lose.
- Sinistars are in with a win over Krauts and a Legion loss.
- Chislers need to win against Ferrets but also losses by the Legion and Sinistars to get in.

Good luck to all in the final week of the 2021 CFFL season!
