CFFL History: Fantasy Bowl VIII

1992 saw the Twins win the East yet once again and the Jewels back on top of the North.  They would make it to their 4th Fantasy Bowl, more than any other franchise at the time.  (Wondering if husband owner of the Chislers had anything to do with that...)

The Jewels would defeat the Geriatrics and Terrors on their way to Fantasy Bowl VIII.  They were led by protected player Chip Lohmiller, yes a kicker.  Well I suppose it paid off as the Jewels did make it to the Fantasy Bowl. The Jewels also had the top WR in the league Sterling "Dancing Eyebrows" Sharpe who finished the season with 13 TDs.  They would face Wilken's Whammers led by league MVP Emmitt Smith, who finished the season with 19 TDs.

The Jewels would win their 2nd title defeating the Whammers 36-23.  Emmitt Smith would have only one score in the game, Sharpe none, but Lohmiller kicked in 8 points in the victory.  The Jewels, along with the Mooches, would become the only Franchise with 2 Fantasy Bowl trophies.
