CFFL History: Fantasy Bowl XXI

In 2005, the Chislers were on a mission again, going 13-1 and winning the North without breaking a sweat.  The rest of the Division was 6-8, 4-10 and 3-11.  They were loaded again in the backfield, with returning star Tomlinson and another Chief RB, Larry Johnson.  Behind 12 points from Tom Brady and 12 points from Larry Johnson, they completely dominated the Maulers in the first round 34-4.  In the Semis it wouldn't be as easy as they edged the Twins 33-29.  Larry Johnson had 12 more points in that game.

The Bowling Strikers were a little known team.  Flying under the radar.  Not a terrible team, but not a team that would win many divisions or make playoff runs.  In fact they had a 2 year hiatus between 2001 and 2004 where they left the league.  But this year would be a different year for the Strikers.  Winning the South at 10-4 they were led by Carson Palmer and Clinton Portis.  In Round 1, they would sneak by the defending champ Mafia 40-39 and then handled the Dragons in the semis 44-25.

However the Strikers would run into a buzz saw in the Chislers, bound and determined to win the Fantasy Bowl and not be another victim to a last minute defeat.  Fantasy Bowl XXI was never in question as the Chislers easily won 41-26 getting 3 more TDs from Larry Johnson, who finished the post season with 7 TDs!  The Chislers, would set the record for most Fantasy Bowl trips with 6 and it would be a good one.

Crush RB Shaun Alexander the 2005 CFFL MVP
with 28 TDs on the season!
