CFHL Week 6

Here is yet another re cap of the CFHL action last week. 

Goon Crew 4  Assassins 1
Crew get back on the winning track defeating the Assassins 4-1 led by Hornqvist 2 goals, 2 assists, +3, 1 PPP and 10 hits.  These 10 hits paired with McAvoy's 12 helped the Crew rack up 47 hits.

Checkers 3 Mayhem 3

Go Checkers

Checkers pull of an upset of sorts tying the Mayhem and getting a point out of the match up with the one loss Mayhem on Ice.  Both teams only scored 5 goals each.  McDavid had 3 for the Checkers and Schenn had 3 for the Mayhem.  To say the least many players on both teams came up empty in the goals department. 

La Femme Nikita 4  AshBusters 3
The defending champs go down to the new upstart and wife of AshBusters La Femme Nikita.  Two big stars for Nikita was Gaudreau and Andersen.  Gaudreau had 3 goals and 4 assists, including 4 PPP.  Andersen had 2 wins and both were shutouts!

USSR 5  White Mambas 1
The Soviets were able to snake charm the Mambas 5-1 in a game that was closer than the 5-1 score.  Oshie had 3 goals for USSR leading them to a 2 goal win in goals.  They won assists by only 1 but tallied 9 PPPs.  Dubnyk got 2 wins and a SV% of .933...but not quiet enough for Star honors of the week...

Krampus Carols 4  Who Gives a Puck 3
The season is upon us.  Grab your kids before the Krampus puts those brats into his sack.  After putting the Crew in his sack last week it was the Pucks turn.  They were able to do it with scoring only 3 goals.  Wait, what?  And with no goalie wins...It helped when their goalie Craig Anderson managed SV% of .926, but had no wins?  Wait what?

Number Two Star of the Week:  T.J. Oshie, USSR, 3 goals, 2 assists, 3 PPP and 9 hits

Number Three Star of the Week: Frederik Andersen, La Femme Nikita, 2 wins, 1.000 SV%.
