CFFL40 Week 2

The story this year is injuries.  How many injuries are we going to continue to have to big name players?

  • Pacheco "Peak at my Butthole"  for the Crew is out 6-8 weeks
  • Tee "Mrs. Sue" Higgins for the Crew hasn't played yet, been out with a hammy
  • Cooper Kupp for the Ferrets out with an ankle.  Not sure how long
  • Evan Engram for Ferrets could be out a few weeks
  • Joe Mixon for Animals had ankle rolled up on and could be out
  • AJ Brown for Cocktails has a hammy and could be out several weeks
  •  Jordan Love for Cocktails has MCL sprain and could be out several weeks
  • Tua Tagovailoa for Killers bee-beed himself and might be out for several weeks
  • Kenneth Walker for Killers has an oblique and missed last week and maybe next week
  • Christian McCaffrey for Juggs on IR now and hasn't played a down.
  • Puca Nacua for Juggs on IR with a knee.  Maybe back in Week 8 or 9?
  • Deebo "Dabo Sweeny" Samuel for Bees set to miss multiple games with a calf
  • Justin Jefferson for Legion left the game limping but should be back next week
  • Keenan Allen for Titans has a heel issue and missed last week.  Yet to be seen for next week
snap!

In a 16 team league and that many injuries, the waiver wire is thin.  Plus with many of these players not likely to miss entire year so hard to just drop them off your roster...

Here is Week 2's action

Chislers 26  Wrecking Crew 24
In the longest standing rivalry, the Chislers took game one after getting 18 points from James Cook on Thursday.  The Crew couldn't over come the deficit even with a 10 point connection from Stroud to Collins.  Drake "Joker Face" London did score a late TD but needed a 2 point catch to get the win.

One of three TDs for Cook

Animals 37  Ferrets 13
Ferrets team came out flat, getting no points from stars Goff and Gibbs and then Cooper Kupp went out of the game with an injury (see above).  They only got points from kicker and defense.  While the Animals rolled with 12 points from Kyler Murray.

Murray lit up the Ferrets (and the Rams)

Warbirds 32  Dragons 20
The Warbirds managed to win despite trying to out think the room by benching Burrow (8 points) in favor of Jayden Daniels (0 points).  Warbird running game still its strength getting TDs from both Achane and Etienne.  Warbirds Kicker Carlson booted in 14 big points too.  Quentin Johnston likely will be in the Dragon lineup next week

Achane a picture of scoring consistency.
(Plus Dolphins should go back to those unis)

Killer Bees 11  Titans 8
In the barn burner of the week, the Bees and Titans combined for only 19 points.  All 11 points for the Bees came from their kicker Justin "Mother" Tucker.

Tucker shocked that they won with just him scoring.

Juggernauts 40  Sinistars 25
The Juggs rolled over Sinistars behind 12 points from Calvin Ridley.  Rookie Malik "Jim" Nabers has been scoring each week.  And what a good move it was to draft Jordan Mason to handcuff McCaffrey.  He continues to score.  Stafford got the nod this week and came up empty for the Sinistars.

Krauts 31  Cocktails 25
Krauts move to 2-0 defeating the Cocktails 31-25.  Krauts QB Mahomes got two TD passes but none to either Kelce or Worthy.  Cocktails have QB issues although Danny Dimes, in for Love, was able to throw 2 TD passes in the loss.

Legion 29  Killers 24
Killers lose another close one and the team took a turn for the worse Thursday losing Tua and ultimately effecting Tyreek Hill's production.  Start of season the Legion got a poor grade for QBs Mayfield and Darnold, but now they are two of the more productive QBs in the league.  Plus Legion kicker Brandon Aubrey is quickly becoming the new Tucker.

Whales 69  Crush 21
"69...hahahaha."  This Whale team just couldn't stop scoring points.  Kamara went nuts scoring 4 times!  Then Marvin Harrison Jr, who last week had one catch for 4 yards, exploded (against the Rams of course) scoring a 23 yard TD and a 60 yard TD!  And they didn't get much out of Barkley (only 2 points).

Player of the Week:  Alvin Kamara, RB, Whales - 24 points
