CFFL Fantasy Bowl XXX

FANTASY BOWL XXX

Cherry's Chislers 30  Cabucki Crush 13

Rivers and Brees face off again in a FB
CHICAGO, ILL - In a relatively uneventful Fantasy Bowl the Chislers won one for the thumb and have claimed to be a true dynasty in the CFFL.  It started out with all but one player for the Crush starting in the early games, while the Chislers only had Dez Bryant and Phillip Rivers (not a bad pair to only have playing).  Rivers was back in the starting role as the Chisler QB after being benched the last two weeks in favor of Roethlisberger in which Rivers out performed him both weeks.  The Crush was counting on Drew Brees putting up some big numbers as well as Jeffery, Watkins and Jennings.  If not they would only  have their kicker Matt Bryant left in the later games, who was at home playing for a playoff spot.

"psst..we won and I didn't do shit"

One of 2 Dez Bryant TDs!
The scoring got going as Dez Bryant of the Chislers, acquired in a trade with the Juggernauts, would haul in 2 TD passes, giving him 6 TDs in the post season!  Rivers would come up empty.  Brees could only manage one TD making the score 12-4.  Then the Cowboys D would return an fumble for a TD to help the Crush pull with in 2, 12-10.  Back up kicker for the Crush, Bailey, had 14 points and could have made it a bit more interesting.    But nothing from Watkins, Jeffery, Jennings, Vereen, LaFell, That's a lot of goose eggs on the scoreboard as they would go and face the Green Bay Chislers in the second half (Lacy, Nelson, Crosby, and Green Bay D).

The Falcons looked pathetic and Matt Bryant only manged one FG for the Crush and would be all they would get.  The Chislers however, still sweating out the fact that Matt Bryant could still kick more points, uncharacteristically got zeros from Nelson and Lacy.  The Green Bay D would however step up and had a punt return for a TD to make the score 19-13, a solid 6 point lead.
Chislers match Crush D score with GB punt return

Boldin was the Nail in Coffin
Boldin would catch a TD, oh wait there was a flag on the play...didn't count.  Boldin would catch a TD...oh wait again, another flag...but this time it counted giving the Chislers a 25-13 lead.  The nail in the coffin for sure.  They would add a few more points from Crosby and a safety from their D,to make the final 30-13 giving the Chislers their 5th Fantasy Bowl Title, more than any other franchise in the history of the CFFL.

The Chislers did it not based on their superior fantasy football knowledge by making the right moves based on match ups, etc...In fact those moved hurt them as even when they put Rivers back in, he would score 0 while Roethlisberger would throw for 2 TDs.  They did it with what no other team has...Chisler Luck!

Oh and Dez Bryant, who was the Playoff MVP scoring 36 points and was critical in their first round victory over the Crew.  His three TD performance in the first round tied for most WR points in a playoff game (tied with 5 other players), and his 36 points tied Marvin Harrison for 2nd most points in the playoffs second to only the great Jerry Rice who had 48 back in 1987.
Bryant was MVP and glad the Juggs traded him

The Chislers' One for the Thumb was their 3rd title in 4 years.  They won in 2011, 2012 and now 2014.  It appears this decade belongs to the Chisler Dynasty.  This was their 10th trip to the Fantasy Bowl and are now 5-5 in Fantasy Bowl.  Oh and by the way they have won 3 straight Cherry Cups in the CFHL as well.  No other owner has experienced such success in Fantasy Sports as Rick Cherry owner of the Cherry's Chislers and Checkers.
Chisler fans flood the streets to celebrate!
That's five trophies for the Chislers
Looks like for the 4th year in a row it will be this picture again!

CFFL Playoffs Round 2 and FBXXX PreviewDefen

Well it looks like the Crush and the Chislers were nice this year and Santa left trips to Fantasy Bowl XXX under their tree!
Merry Christmas from the Cheerleaders of the CFFL!

Crush 28 Mafia 21
TAMPA, FL - The Mafia ended up just short of making it to the Fantasy Bowl as predicted in the preseason.  The Crush won a fairly uneventful game led by 12 points from Kicker Matt Bryant and only 4 points form Drew Brees.  Jeffery "I WIN" tallied a TD as did Sammy "Davis Junior" Watkins.  Mike Evans who has 11 TDs on the year and was tearing it up came up empty for the Mafia in the final game and Hauschka missed 3 FGs that could have won the game for the Mafia.

The win propels the Crush, who barley made it in as a wild card, to Fantasy Bowl XXX.  This is only their 2nd trip ever to the Fantasy Bowl over the past 29 years of being in the CFFL.  Their last trip was in Fantasy Bowl XXII, a 41-37 victory over the Wrecking Crew...

Chislers 42 Animals 34
ORCHARD PARK, NY - The Chislers held on to win despite benching their best player.  This game was a close on and pitted Father and Son against each other. "Luke, I am your Father!"  Just like Empire Strikes back, the father would win this one too as the Chislers prevented the Animals to going to their first Fantasy Bowl.  It was a wild one as the Chislers decided to keep Rivers on the bench (he would score 16 points), but the Green Bay Chislers played fairly well scoring 20 points (Lacy, Nelson, Crosby).  Roethlisberger, starting for Rivers (who scored 16 points...) threw only one TD...and was to Animals Brown.  Beckham would get 2 scores for the Animals and the game was 30-26 going into Monday Night.
Animals...I am your Father!

The Chislers had Sanders while the Animals had Dalton and D. Thomas.  Truly the advantage was with the Animals, right?  Well no.  The Animals didn't have the Chisler luck that seems to always rears its head in the playoffs.  Sanders would score twice while the Animals would only get 8 points from "Malchi" Dalton and for the second year in a row the Animals come up one game short of a trip to the Fantasy Bowl.
Sanders 2 TDs sealed the deal!

This will be the Chislers 10th trip to the Fantasy Bowl.  They are 4-5 in the past 9 Fantasy Bowls they have played in, winning the last 2 in a row.

FANTASY BOWL XXX PREVIEW

Chislers vs Crush
This will be a game between two historical franchises in the CFFL.  The Chislers are one of the original teams that founded the CFFL in 1985, while the Crush came into the league the very next year in 1986 as the Rebels.  The Chislers are the winngest franchise in the CFFL with an all time winning % of .617.  The Crush are not as their all time winning % is .464, 13th among the 16 current teams.

This is truly why people in the CFFL cry, "You just have to get in!"  Its a match up of wild card teams.  Both team barley got into the playoffs.  Hell the Chislers had to win 5 in a row just to squeak in...but that has served them well as the team has been in playoff mode for nearly half of the season.

The last time these two teams met it was in Week 10 and was the game the started the Chislers winning streak as they hammered the Crush 65-19 behind multiple TD performances by Bryant, Nelson and Sanders.  Lets see how they match up for this 30th Fantasy Bowl:

QBs - Rivers vs. Brees - Not even going to entertain the idea the Roethlisberger would get the start again over Rivers.  Brees hasn't been the same and Rivers, when he gets hot he can put up a lot of points.  Overall Brees has outscored Rivers 134-124.  Slight advantage to Rivers as he is the hot hand right now.
"I don't know why that idiot benched me?"

RBs - Lacy vs. Vereen - Not even close.  Lacy, Lacy, Lacy.  The Crush have been bit by the injury bug as Ryan Mathews and Jennings were out last week.  If they are healthy this week this match up might be a little closer and the Crush could pull a sideways counter with Mathews.  Advantage to the Chislers on this one.
"He best not bench me!"

WRs - Bryant, Nelson, Sanders vs. Jeffery, LaFell, Watkins, Bowe?  Eh...what?  Yeah the combination of Bryant, Nelson and Sanders is truly a deadly trio of wide outs.  They have combined for 218 points.  The four mentioned for the Crush?  138 with Bowe not a single TD.  Advantage Chislers...big time!
Bryant doing XXX for FB XXX!

Kickers - Crosby vs. Bryant or Bailey - Will be a tough call for the Crush to decide who they go with Sunday, both are capable of kicking double digit points.  Crosby has 130 points on the year and will certainly get the nod.  With the Packers at home, slight edge to Chislers.

Defense - Packers vs. Cowboys - Not thinking defense will make a difference in this game and will call it a draw as neither team gets a defensive/special team score.

One for the thumb!  All signs are pointing toward the Chislers capturing their 5th Fantasy Bowl Title.  They may need to build an addition to the house for all the trophies.
Happy Holidays!!

CFHL Week 5

Both Divisions are close as the Crew lead the Norris by only a point over Assassins and Who Gives a Puck while the Smythe division has the AshBusters in first by only a point over Mayhem and USSR.
Happy Holidays from the CFHL Ice Girls

Goon Crew vs. Who Gives a Puck 2-2-2
Streit celebrates his late game assist
A game where the Crew led most of the week ended in a complete draw as the Who Gives a Puck tallied a late assist and beat them by +8 on Sunday night.  Patrick Sharp would have 3 assists Sunday night, finishing the week with 5 assists  a couple of goals and +5.  Mark Streit had an impressive +4 late Sunday Night after pretty much doing nothing all week.  The Goalies were in a battle as they both played to a 4 to 4 tie in wins.

USSR vs. Assassins 3-2-1
The Soviets sent in the KGB and did some assassinating them selves beating the Assassins.  The amazing thing is that they did it quietly, so quietly they didn't register a single PIM.  Pacioretty led the USSR with 5 assists and +5, while Kessel and Johnson both added 3 assists each.  Jakub Voracek earned Number One Star honors in the loss for the Assassins notching 3 goals, 4 assists and a +6.  Number 2 Star also went to an Assassin in the losing effort, Marc-Andre Fleury had 3 wins and .971 SV%...how did the Assassins not win??  Oh Phaneuf had 8 PIM....just saying...Elisha...

Mayhem on Ice vs. AshBusters 4-2
Despite dropping the game to the Mayhem 4-2, the AshBusters remain in first in the Smythe Division.  Mayhem were led by Giroux who had 2 goals, 4 assists, +2 and 2 PIM.  The AshBusters were still trying to get over the Mumps that ran through the organization that kept Crosby out for a few weeks.  He appears to be better and will be back next week.
Claude likes when Phaneuf is mentioned...

Seabrook and Toews
Checkers vs. Krampus Carols 5-1
The Checkers finally were on the winning side for the first time since Week 1, dominating the Krampus Carols.  Instead of the Kings leading the way it was the Blackhawks with Toews and Seabrook combining for 3 goals, 6 assists, a +6 and 6 PIM.  The win puts the Checkers only 7 points behind, as they congratulate their Fantasy Football counterpart the Chislers for yet another trip to the Fantasy Bowl.

Match up of next week:  Assassins vs. Checkers
The Assassins try to get some revenge on the Checkers as the Fantasy Football counter parts faced off in the CFFL semifinals with the Chislers knocking off the Animals...

CFFL Playoffs Round 1

Well what a first round!  Two games that really weren't close and two that were decided on the final night of the week!

Chislers 31 Wrecking Crew 30
Nelson dropping passes
GREEN BAY, WI - It was the longest rivalry in the CFFL and pitted brother vs. brother.  It lived up to the billing but wasn't the high scoring shoot out that would have been expected.  If this was a week to beat the Chislers this would have been the week as the Green Bay Chislers came out flat as Nelson (Dropping passes), Lacy, Crosby and the Green Bay D would only manage 13 points.  It looked like the Chislers might be in trouble as the Crew's only player playing in the early games, Gano, tied all of the Chislers points at 13.  The Crew would get one more to make the score 19-13 going into Sunday and Monday night.  It appeared the Crew were in good shape and the Chislers, who had been playing playoff football for 5 weeks just to get in were spent.
Bryant was game MVP

"Not so fast my friend" as Lee Corso would say.  Sunday night would have Dez Bryant going for the Chislers.  He would end up catching 3 TDs to put the Chislers up by 12 going into Monday night and done for the week.  The Crew would have to rely on the Chicago Crew, now down to just two (Cutler and Bennet) and Jimmy Graham.  It was truly a dumpster fire once again in Chicago as the Bears looked terrible and Jimmy Graham barely was on the field and for some reason not even in when the Saints were in the Redzone.  However late in the game Cutler was able to throw a TD pass and then convert a 2 point conversion to Bennett to close within 5 of the Chislers.  Certainly in striking distance.  The Bears would have one final drive down the field and would result in another Cutler TD pass but not to Bennett...could they go for 2 once again and throw to Bennett??  Nah, they just kicked the XP leaving the Crew 2 points shy of winning the game.

"Frustrating end to the season, but all the respect in the world to my Brother and the Chislers," said owner of the Crew, Roy Cherry.  The Crew's hopes of a repeat are no longer and the Chislers move on in their "One for the Thumb" quest.
Cutler was a dumpster fire

Crush 26 Krauts 14
Berlin after the Krauts playoff loss
BERLIN, GERMANY - You didnt' want to be anywhere near the Krauts camp on Tuesday morning after this one.  If you did you might not ever leave Germany....The Krauts were completely shut down and for the first week all season Rodgers was shut out.  Hell of a time to do that, in the playoffs!  Only Tucker (8) and Roddy "Rowdy" White (6) would score for the Krauts.  Maclin would come up empty on Sunday night.  Despite that the Krauts still lead 14-8 over the Crush, but the Crush would be coming into Monday night with Brees and Jeffery.

The Monday night game was a complete mess in the beginning and it looked like the Krauts just might have a chance as the second half wound down and Brees had only 1 TD pass and the score now was 14-12 with the Krauts hanging onto a slim lead.  Brees would hit his second TD with 32 seconds left in the half to put the Crush up for good 16-14, knocking off the #1 seed Krauts in Berlin.  They would add another TD Pass from Brees and a TD catch from Jeffery to make it 26-14.
Brees led Crush to victory

The Kraut head coach couldn't be reached for comments as he quickly hit the showers...

Mafia 31 Bums 11
Evans been big for the Mafia
TAMPA, FL - The Mafia would have little trouble with the Bums, who were yet another team that was let down by their superstar.  This year the Bums' RB Jamaal Charles would come up empty after a 5 TD performance in last years first round playoff game vs. the Chislers.  Mafia would be led by Matt Ryan's 8 points and Mike Evans' 6.  Evan's TD was his 11th of the season and 9th in the past 7 weeks.  He is currently in the running for Mafia MVP honors.  Greg Jennings scored a rare TD as well.  Could the Mafia be a team of destiny?  Forgettaboutit!

Animals 37 Killer Bees 19
CHARLOTTE, NC - The Killer Bees and Andrew Luck's magical season came to an end to the hands of the Animals.  The Animals got no scoring from their RB or QB but still managed to rack up 37 points.  This was in large part to the 18 points scored by "Bend it like" Beckham.  Demaryius Thomas would also add a late TD and this game was over before Monday night kicked off where the Animals would get 7 more from kicker Graham.
Beckham scored 3 times!

The Bees haven't been the same since the injury bug bit them.  Bradshaw went out early in the year with a broken foot after providing Luck a great sideways 10 point connection.  "Orange" Julius Thomas was also nicked up and hadn't been the same since his injury.

Round 2 Match ups:

Well 3 out of the four division winners bowed out early this year leaving only the Mafia left.  Goes to show you it don't matter how you get in, just get in!  Interesting enough is that both match ups are match ups between teams that played the home and home series earlier this year...

Cabucki Crush vs. Mark's Mafia
The Mafia swept the regular season home and home series with the Crush, including an OT victory in which both teams were tied at 35.  While the Crush have Brees he hasn't been the threat he has been in the past.  Neither team posts any stand out stars.  Closest would be Brees for the Crush and Evans for the Mafia.  Should be another close one between these two West Division Rivals.

Cherry's Chislers vs. Alex Animals
The Cherry's of the CFFL
The Chislers who dispensed of his little brother last week will now try to dispense of his son.  Real nice guy!  Chislers won't be counting on another dismal performance form his Green Bay Chislers two weeks in a row.  This means the Animals will have their hands full despite having swept them in the home and home series.

This game will guarantee that the Fantasy Bowl will have a team owned by a Cherry in it for the 4th year in a row, and a Cherry owned team in it 7 out of 8 past Fantasy Bowls. Not to mention this will also guarantee that the Fantasy Bowl had a representative from the North Division  12 out of the past 14 seasons!  Now that's domination!  In other words only 2 years over the past 14 was there not a team from the North playing in the Fantasy Bowl!

Ferrets and Crew of the North!

CFHL Week 4

Week 4 in the Cherry Fantasy Hockey League...

Goon Crew vs. Checkers 5-1
Getzlaf got the better of Checker's Byfuglien this week!
In the Brother match up between the Goon Crew and Checkers, the Goon Crew dominated the game and won all but one of the categories.  Ryan Getzlaf was the Number One Star of the game notching 2 goals, 2 assists, a +3 and 4 PIM while Crew goalies combined for 4 wins and a .926 SV%.  Has the Kings magic of the Checkers left them?  Apparently the Checker's management thinks so as they promptly benched 2 of their King players this week, a move that was unheard of in their 3 previous championship seasons.  Rask and Quick have been huge disappointments as well.

Assassins vs. Mayhem on Ice 5-1
In another dominating performance the Assassins had no trouble with the Mayhem and are now tied with the Crew for first in the Norris Division.  Assassins had 22 assists, with 8 skaters tallying multiple assists.  Pekka Rinne earned Number One Star honors once again with 2 wins and a stellar .978 SV% for the Animals.  Dion Phaneuf ended the week with 3 assists and 6 PIM for the Animals as well.  Claude Giroux's 5 assist week for the Mayhem was wasted in the loss.
Can't mention Pheneuf without mentioning his wife Elisha

USSR vs. Krampus Carols 3-1-2
The Soviets finally got on the winning side this week and survived a close one against the Krampus Carol's who were busy getting their sacks ready for the Krampus season.  Teams tied in Assists and Goalie wins (only one a piece...lame) and USSR edged them by one +/- (-8 vs-9...lame).  Phil Kessel was Number One Star, I guess, in this game with 2 goals and 2 assists...also lame.

Merry Krampus...stuff your kids in a sack!
Who Gives a Puck vs. AshBusters 3-3
These two battled to a draw as the AshBusters took goals, led by Pavelski's 3, assists and +/-, despite mumps running through the locker room,  the Puck took PIM and both goalie stats.  Number One Star honors are shared by both Who Gives a Puck goalies Bobrovsky and Lundqvist.  They each had 3 wins a piece and combined for an impressive .939 SV%.
"Yes, I am as handsome as I am good"

Not many outstanding performances or goons this week (Brodie of the Animals led the week with 8 PIM).  What was impressive was the goalie play from the dynamic duo from Who Gives a Puck to Rinne's 2nd great week in a row!

Next Weeks' Match up of the Week:  Goon Crew vs. Who Gives a Puck
Crew lead by one point over Who Gives a Puck.  Winner of the game should continue to lead the Norris, unless of course the Assassins don't whip on the Soviets who have struggled thus far this year.

USSR fans haven't had much to cheer about lately

CFFL Week 14

Cutler looking for his bong
While most of the divisions were already decided, there was one more to be determined and the wildcard spots were all up for grabs, and boy did the Chislers throw a wrench into it all!

Wrecking Crew 43 Animals 28
ORCHARD PARK, NY - The North Division was the final division that was up for grabs and it came down to the final game of the season between the Wrecking Crew and the Animals.  The Crew won a close one in Week 1 thus the winner of this game would be North Division Champs.  The Crew started out with the Chicago Crew on Thursday night and managed to get 20 points from Cutler and Bennett.  They were dealt a big blow however as Barndon Marsahll was lost for the season with a collapsed lung.

The Animals hit back with Malachi Dalton matching Cutler's 14 points but then got TDs from "Bend it Like" Beckham and "Private" Benjamin.  Crew would answer with 12 big points once again from their defense the Rams for the victory and earned their 8th North Division Title.  Animals ended up the 5th seed in the playoffs at 9-5 and is the 4th year in a row the Animals made the playoffs after making it only twice in their first 9 years in the league.
Rams D dominating!

Chislers 41 Ferrets 30
Nelson puts the Chislers back in the playoffs
CHICAGO, IL - In the wildest comeback of the season the Chislers came from 26 down to win by 11 and win their 5th game in a row to make the playoffs after starting 3-6 on the season!  The Ferrets for the second week in a row would score its highest point total (30) and lose.  It looked good for the Ferrets as Teddy "Two Gloves" scored 8 points, scored 8 points, and Hurns and Megatron caught TD passes.  So it came down to Monday night as the Green Bay Chislers (Nelson, Lacy, Crosby, GB D) took the field down 30-4.  It started shaky as Green Bay marched down the field using Nelson and Lacy, but scored with Starks.  Was it going to be one of those kind of night.  NAH!  Chislers would fire back with 2 TDs from Lacy, 2 from Nelson and 13 points from Crosby.  It wasn't even close.

They needed the win since at 7-7 they would not make it. This makes the 22nd year the Chislers have made the playoffs and have only missed the playoffs once in past 17 years!  With their Green Bay fire power they have to be one of the odds on favorite to win it all this year.  The Ferrets?  What can I say.  They are the complete polar opposite of what the Chislers are.  While everything the Chislers touch turns to gold the Ferrets touch turns to shit.  Players suck, get hurt or get benched (Kaepernick, Kirk Cousins, The Redskins...etc..)

The win essential knocked out the Roulette, but was close and could have knocked out the Crush...

Krauts 28 Roulette 12
Julio Jones needed one more to get in playoffs
MOSCOW, RUSSIA - In the bleak grey capital of the Motherland the Krauts stormed in like it was 1941 all over again led by Aaron Rodgers' 12 points on Monday night that turned out to not even be needed as the Roulette managed to score only 12 points.  Manning had zip, zilch, nada.  This was truly disappointing to a team that had such promise all year round.  But even with the loss to the Krauts, who enter the playoffs the number one seed and winners of 8 in a row, the Roulette were still not out of it.  They had Julio Jones who was having a monster game Monday night in Green Bay and scored a late TD to pull the Roulette to only 4 points of the Crush.  One more TD by Julio Jones and the Roulette would beat the Crush in the total points tie breaker and make the playoffs.  Julio Jones would come so close, inside the 5 late in the 4th quarter only to get hurt and not return.

The Roulette and Manning would sit home for the holidays.  The Krauts return the playoffs after missing the past 2 years and with Aaron Rodgers on a hot streak will be hard to beat.

Mafia 48 Sinistars 30
Matt Ryan had a season high 16 points
TAMPA, FL - The Mafia had nothing to play for with the West Division wrapped up.  Sinistars just needed to win and they would be in.  They had Brady, Gronk, and Murray.  Surely they would pull this out and make the playoffs for the second year in a row, a feat they had only accomplished once in franchise history (2007-2008).  Well it wasn't in the cards for the Sinistars and they got sinibombed.  They did manage to get a 10 point connection from Brady and Gronkowski to pull the game to with in 2, 32-30 but couldn't managed another one.  It wouldn't have mattered anyway if they did as Matt Ryan scored a season high 16 points on Monday night.  The Mafia return the playoffs after 4 years and were preseason favorites to win Fantasy Bowl XXX.

Bums 45 Crush 21
Charles thrives in the playoffs!
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The Bums did what the Sinistars couldn't do.  They needed a win to get in, while the Crush didn't necessarily need the win to get in.  The Bums took care of business led by 14 from Russell Wilson and 12 from Jamaal Charles, who always seems to thrive in December.  They made the playoffs as the 7th seed wildcard team.  Could have been the 6th seed but the Chislers kept racking up points and eventually passed them in total points scored which moved the Chislers to the 6th seed and knocked the Bums down a spot.

Around the league....Bees enter the playoffs as the South Champ as they defeated the Dragons 25-17 behind Luck's 14 points and Gostkowski's 11, eh that's all they scored.  This is the second year in a row for the Bees as South Division Champs...The Titans finished their season with their 3rd win of the year over the Mayhem 23-21.  Another typical season for the Titans who manged only 4 wins in past two seasons...Cocktails finished strong beating Juggernauts 50-32.  Romo had 12, Bell had 18 and two scores by the Brown D.  They missed the playoffs and had the number 2 ranked offense.  Lots of teams are glad the Cocktails missed the playoffs...
Bell scores 3 times for Cocktails!

So the Playoffs are set as we begin the Road to Fantasy Bowl XXX!!

#8 Crush (8-6) at #1 Krauts (11-3)
Krauts winner of 8 in a row and led by Aaron Rodgers and are poised to make a run deep in the playoffs.  Berlin will be rocking! This will pit Brees for the Crush vs Rodgers.  Brees has not been himself this year.  Crush almost played their way out of the playoffs losing the final week.
Krauts playoff parade in Berlin

#7 Bums (8-6) at #2 Mafia (10-4)
A Western Division match up between the Bums and the Mafia.  Bums will lean on Jamaal Charles while Mafia can't expect 16 points from Ryan every week, but do have Forte and Mike Evans.  Bums won over the Mafia in Week 2 30-7 while the Mafia beat the Bums 23-13 last week.
Bums fan checking to see if they made playoffs

#6 Chislers (8-6) at #3 Wrecking Crew (9-5)
Well the most storied and longest rivalry in all fantasy sports puts Brother vs. Brother in Round 1.  Chislers snuck into the playoffs by winning 5 in a row and are peaking at the right time with their Green Bay Chislers.  Crew have been lucky with their Defense (Rams scoring 24 points in past two weeks) and depend on the Chicago Crew, which has been erratic lately.  These teams split the regular season with the Crew winning Week 2 50-29 while the Chislers won last week 32-25. They have met in the playoffs 4 times including  two Fantasy Bowls.
Another Brother vs. Brother battle

#5 Animals (9-5) at #4 Killer Bees (8-6)
The Animals come in as a wildcard but are as good as any division champ and have maybe the most potent WR corp; Beckham, Benjamin, Brown and Demaryius Thomas.  The Bees ride the shoulders of Andrew Luck but have stumbled as of late.
Cheerleaders ready for the playoffs!!

CFHL Week 3

Week 3 in the CFHL:

Who Gives a Puck vs. Checkers 4-2
Backes...Captain or Goon?
Who Gives a Puck took out the 3-time defending champs Checkers to move into first place by 3 points in the Norris Division.  While David Backes didn't exactly light up the score board for the Puck, he did light up the Checkers players tallying 18 PIM.  Stamkos had a pedestrian 1 goal and 3 assists and 6 PIM for the Puck but was enough. Checker's goalies let them down again coming up 1 win short and only a .903 SV%  This was suppose to be the best Goalie duo when the Checkers picked Rask and Quick back to back.

Krampus Carols vs. AshBusters 4-2
The AshBusters had a nice lead in the Smythe Division but that was quickly erased after their defeat at the hands of the Krampus.  The AshBusters somehow lost the game even though they scored 12 goals to the Krampus' 6.  The Krampus did it at the blue line as their D-men of Fowler, Duncan "Cousin" Keith, and Victor "Give me more" Hedman, scored 8 assists and a +9.
Tis the Season for the Krampus!

Mayhem on Ice vs. USSR 4-2
Datsyuk had a big week!
Moscow still not happy as the USSR struggle once again.  The Mayhem beat them in 4 of the 6 categories and moved to within one point of the AshBusters in the Smythe Division. Pavel Datsyuk was the Number One Star of the game scoring 3 goals, 4 assists and a +6.  A bright spot in gloomy Moscow was Kesler and Tarasenko who each had 3 goals.

Goon Crew vs. Assassins 3-3
This was the matchup of the week and lived up to the billing, even though it ended in a tie.  The Goon Crew dominated the Assist category 20-8 lead by Getzlaf's 6 assists along with Marleau's 4.  Speaking of Marleau, he and Couture have been hot Sharks and combined for 2 goals, 6 assists and a +4. Seguin continued to be on fire scoring goals getting 3 more this week.  Malkin for the Assassins had 3 goals of his own and 18 PIM.  Goon Crew have been anything but goons, this week getting only 6 PIM all week. Maybe they should change their name to R.C. Lady Bings...
Couture and Marleau playing well!

Number One Star of the Week: Sergei Bobrovsky, Goalie, Who Gives a Puck, 3 Wins and .956 SV%
He posted a 3-0-0 record with a 1.62 goals-against average and a .956 save percentage to earn the honor.
Bobrovsky earned top honors this week

Match up of Week 4: Who Gives a Puck vs. AshBusters
A battle of first place teams has the Puck from the Norris versus the AshBusters of the Smythe. Stamkos vs. Crosby.  Kane vs. Pavelski.  Should be a good one!
Crazy Who Gives a Puck fan!
