CHFL Week 3

Week 3 action in the CFHL:

Krampus Carols vs. Goon Crew 4-2
The Krampus stuck the Crew in their sack and beat them with a stick!  Crew only managed 4 goals to the Krampus' 13.  The Krampus had 3 players who netted 3 goals a piece.  (Perry, Karlsson, and McDonagh).  Number One Star was Ryan McDonagh who had 3 goals and a +7.  Seguin had a disappointing week getting no goals for the week.  The win keeps the Krampus in first place by 9 points over Mayhem in the Smythe Division.
McDonagh had 3 goals!

USSR vs. AshBusters 3-2-1
The USSR snuck away with a win after getting beat up 28-8 in PIM by the AshBuster, led by Landeskog's 10 PIM which included a suspension after a cheap shot hit to the head.  This game was won between the pipes as USSR got 4 wins from Jones and Schneider in net beating out the 3 wins by Holtby and Dubnyk.  Saturday was the big day for the USSR as they got 5 goals and 4 assists to keep them in the game. Both teams are looking to improve on their poor start to the season thus far.

Who Gives a Puck vs Assassins 3-2-1
The Puck bounced back after last week Cherry Cup winners match beating the Assassins in a close one.  They both tied in Goals, but Puck got the Assassins by 6 in assists, only 1 +/- and 10 PIM.  Goon of the Game was "Chubby" Byfuglien who had 14 PIM... big surprise...  Klingberg had a top notch week for a blueliner with 2 goals and 3 assists for the Assassins.

Delta Bravo
Mayhem on Ice vs. Checkers 3-2-1
A lack luster performance for the Checkers coming off the big win last week vs. the Puck.  This allowed the Mayhem to come out victorious, but really winning only PIM and both goalie categories.  That wasn't hard to do with Lundqvist and Niemi...well basically just Lundqvist who had all 3 wins and a SV% of .956 versus Quick and Halak who only had 1 win between them.  Number One Star of the game...Johnathan Toews.  Why?  He had a goal, 2 assists, +3 and 9 PIM.  But mainly because of this:
