CFHL Week 4

Seemed like a lot of games that weren't too close this week....

Goon Crew vs. SLVB (4-1-1)
Spezza tied it up Sunday!
Crew finally get off the schnide beating the Killer Smurfs.  Crew came up big with their goalies getting 4 wins and a .953 SV% between Mason "Consolidated" and Niemi.  The Ginger Twins played well combining for 3 goals, 3 assists and a +6.  The game was 4-2 going into the final games of the week when Crew center Spezza tallied a goal to tie goals at 6.  The Crew are still 11 points behind first place Checkers and Assassins.

Fluffy Bunnies vs. Krampus Carols (6-0)
Bunnies Mascot
Krampus Fan!
The Bunnies continue their steam roll of the league this week shutting out the Krampus Carols despite a poor performance in goals (only scoring 4).  After a huge week last week, which included a 4 goal game, Bunny Seguin came up empty with 0 goals and 0 assists. An unlikely duo in the nets of Rask and Price (Bruins and Habs) combined for 4 wins.  The Bunnies now have 18 wins and 37 points, 9 points ahead of the nearest team!  This game had the creepiest fans and mascots of the year!

AshBusters vs. Enforcers (3-1-2)
This game saw a little more fire power than the pervious games mentioned as they combined for 16 goals and 32 assists!  Fittingly as both teams tied in goals at 8 they both had a player that netted 3 goals.  Clarke "King" MacArthur had 3 for the AshBusters and Getzlaf got back on track and had 3 for the Enforcers.  AshBusters laid the wood getting 30 PIM, 10 from Bryan Little, and 6 each from MacArthur and Giroux.

Ove's Girl....apparently she plays tennis too...

USSR vs. Mayhem on Ice (4-2)
The Ruskies had a pair of players to score 3 goals each in their defeat of the Mayhem.  Ovechkin and Eberle each had 3 goals for the USSR.  Neither team played well between the pipes getting only one win between the two teams.  Luongo was the only goalie to get a win for the USSR.  The victory moved the USSR into a 2 point lead in their division.  Mayhem having trouble keeping up with the Bunnies, but now have some distance between them and the third place Krampus Carols.

Assassins vs. Who Gives a Puck (5-1)
Who Gives a Puck is a Certified Hot Mess
This was  a big week for the Assassins as they have now moved into a tie for first place in the Norris Division.  Who Gives a Puck is in trouble.  They don't know what they are doing.  Players on IR or injured in line up and I don't even know what is going on with their Goalies. They currently have 5 goalies on their team.  Fluery and Halak both had 2 wins and a combined SV% of .946 for the Assassins.

Checkers vs. Heisenberg's Ice (4-1-1)
The Checkers needed this to keep up with the Assassins, as they are now tied with them for first place in the Norris.  Zetterberg for the Checkers had 5 big assists and Sid The Kid Crosby had 3 goals for the Ice.  Checkers edged the Ice in goalie wins by 1 thanks to Crawford and Scrivens for the Checkers.  The Defending champs are tied with the Assassins in the Norris.  "We have a long season to go, but anything but putting our name on that trophy for a third time is a disappointing season" said Checker owner Rick Cherry.  "Suck it" said the rest of the league.
Cherry's Chubby and the Checkmates...wait what??

CFFL Week 11

We are down to the home stretch with only 3 weeks to go until the playoffs.  Here is how Week 11 went.

High Score of the Week:  Roulette 43 Dragons 33
Megatron scores 2!
How did the Roulette lose 3 games?  This week they put up 43 points with Peyton Manning only scoring 4 points and Adrian Peterson putting up a goose egg. Thank you Calvin "Megatron" Johnson and Antonio Brown for scoring 24 points!  Big Ben Roethisberger for the Dragons couldn't have done any better filling in for Aaron Rodgers putting up 16 points but still couldn't manage a win.  None of his wide outs scored.  The Roulette still remain 2 games back of the Sinistars with 3 weeks left.  The Dragons are still mathematically alive but the window is closing fast on their playoff hopes.

Wrecking Crew 34 Twins 22
Olsen twins 10 points
The score was not an indication of how close this game actually was.  After an 11 point performances from RGIII and Mike "Ted" Nugent the Twins lead 22-16.  The Crew needed a big game from Newton to help them come from behind and pound the Twins.  Newton didn't disappoint throwing not one, not two but three TDs, not to mention one went to Greg Olsen "Twins" (how appropriate) for that dreaded 10 point connection.  No problem. A Crew win next week and a Chisler loss will clinch the division for the Crew in the North.

Ferrets 31 Mafia 30
The Ferrets escaped the Mafia and kept their playoff hopes alive as they improved to 5-6.  Ferrets racked up 33 points thanks to 8 from the Bizlat Kaepernick and 11 from Rian Lindell, but had to sweat out the Monday night game after Brandon LaFell caught an early TD to make it a 1 point game and Gostkowski kicking in points as well.  Another TD from LaFell and it was over.  Or another FG from Gostkowski and it was over.  Ferret Luck? or Wening Law?  Looks like it was Ferret Luck and they came away with the victory.
The Bizlat tossed in 2 scores

Sinistars 37 Killer Bees 25
The Sinistars improved to 10-1, but amazingly have yet to clinch the east with the Roulette keeping pace.  This week it was Stafford's 8 points, and TDs from Ray Rice (finally), Josh "Commissioner" Gordon and Rob Gronkowski late in the game capped their 10th win.  The Bees who are still in the lead of the South and could have clinched with the win, have clinched at least a tie for the South and will likely be the Division Champ of the South.

Beast Mode scores 18 in the loss
Player of the Week: Marshawn Lynch 18 points - Alex's Animals
Lynch was in complete Beast Mode Sunday, but it was in a losing effort for the Animals as they only got 10 more points (4 from McCown and 6 from "Bat" Gano) in their lost to the Bums 35-28.  Bums were lead by "Malachi" Dalton's 12 ponts.

Around the League...Chislers hand the Crush their 3rd loss in the row form the North 24-21.  They took an early 12 point lead thanks to Chris Johnson and never looked back, keeping them in the hunt for the playoffs.  They can capture the North title by winning out and the Crew losing out.  Crush are 2 games behind the Bums with 3 weeks to go...Mayhem defeat the Krauts 35-26 in a match up between 2 teams likely not making it to the playoffs.  Another tough year for the Krauts with only 4 wins thus far.  LeSean McCoy lead the scoring for the Mayhem with 12 points...The Juggernauts got some help in their playoff run by playing the Titans this week and beat them 34-4.  The Titans are quickly becoming the worst team ever in the CFFL and at 0-11 are truly increasing their chance to be the first winless team.
Titans are the Worst Team Ever

CFHL Week 3

Seguin's 5 goal performance earned him Player of the Week
Fluffy Bunnies vs. Wrecking Crew (4-2)
The Bunnies might have been playing down to their competition and this game was tied 3-3 late into Sunday.  Tyler Seguin was clearly the Number One Star of the game netting 5 goals, 2 assists and a +5.  This included a 4 goal game!  For once the Crew didn't win the PIM category as the Bunnies took the Crew to the boards.  Bunny goon Kadri lead the way with 14 PIM.  Best players for the Crew were Patrice Bergeron and goalie Steve Mason "Consolidated" who had a SV% of .968.  This game should have been 3-3 but number one goalie Niemi cost the Crew the SV% giving up 4 goals to the Blackhawks Sunday.  Bunnies still have best record and Crew still have worst record.

Krampus Carols vs. Who Gives a Puck (3-2-1)
Miller and Brodeur put up some nice numbers
The Krampus Carols are keeping in the thick of things in the tough Smythe Division staying with in reach of the #1 Bunnies and the #2 Mayhem on Ice.  The difference in this game was net minding. Krampus was dominant between the pipes getting 4 wins from Ryan Miller and Martin Brodeur and a combined SV% of .957 while Who Gives a Puck couldn't manage one win in net.   Miller and Brodeur earned Number One and Two stars of the game for their efforts.

AshBusters vs. Heisenberg's Ice (4-2)
The AshBusters finally got back on track handling Heisenberg's Ice relatively easily.  Two categories however were very close as the AshBusters edged the Ice by only one Assist and by only .002 in SV%.  Tough loss for Heisenberg.  John Carlson, the AshBuster's defenseman was the Number One Star tallying 2 goals, 2 assists and a robust +6.  AshBusters now are only 2 points out of first place in the Norris Division where the top teams are all logged jammed within 2 points of each other.

Benn had 6 Assists (5 in one game)
Mayhem on Ice vs. SLVB (3-2-1)
Mayhem on Ice edge SLVB to try to keep pace with the Bunnies in the Smythe.  Teams tied in goals and it was another close on in assists with the Mayhem beating SLVB just by 1.  Some big performances in this game.  Jamie Benn of Mayhem had 6 assists and a +5 and 6 PIM.  Pavel Datsyuk had 4 goals, coming in 2 games for the Killer Smurfs.  Defenseman Wisniewski for SLVB had 17 PIM.  And Patrick Sharp of the Mayhem tallied 3 goals.  Mayhem are just one point behind the Bunnies.

Enforcers vs. Assassins (5-1)
This game just sounds cool.  Enforcers vs. Assassins!!  Well the Enforcers sure thought it was cool, breaking the 2 week long of splitting both games by hammering the Assassins 5-1 despite the Assassins 10 goals (which was the only category they won).  After tallying 4 goals including a hat trick, Getzlaf couldn't find the back of the net once.  Zach Parise enforced his will on the Assassins getting 8 PIM, 2 goals and a +2.  Josh Harding for the Enforcers was the Number One Star of the game getting 3 wins in net and a .939 SV%.  Assassins are still in the thick of the 3 team race in the Norris while the Enforcers now lead the Patrick Division by 2 points.
Harding was gold in net!

USSR vs. Checkers (3-2-1)
Which one of these D-bags were in net for the Checkers?
The defending champs went down to the USSR but still manage to lead the Norris by one point.  Ovechkin lead all players with 4 goals for the USSR (fittingly).  The biggest story line in this matchup was the loss of Stamkos with a broken leg in the first game of the week and now will miss a significant portion of the regular season.  The Checkers are hoping to get him back in time for another Cherry Cup run.  The other story was the Delta Bravo of the week, Checkers goalie Jonas Hiller who had no wins and a terrible .750 SV%.

CFFL Week 10

As we move down into the home stretch Week 10 was an interesting week with some close games, a tie, a blow out and a double nickel score....

The Double Nickel: Roulette 55 Titans 29
Just another day for Manning...4 TDs.
Even when the Titans have a fairly decent week, scoring 29, the most since they put up 32 in Week 1, they still lose.  The Titans were no match to the power team of the Roulette, who had 3 players in double digits this week.  The Big Three all clicked at the same time showing how dangerous the Roulette can be!  Peyton "Forehead" Manning racked up 16, Adrian "All Day" Peterson had 12 and Calvin "Megatron" Johnson also had 12.  The Roulette needed the win to stay 2 games back of the Sinistars.  The Titans are dangerously becoming the first team in CFFL history to go winless in a season.

The Tie:  Mafia 25 Chislers 25
"A tie?  Really??"
This game likely shouldn't have been tied at all.  Mafia should have probably won this game and the Chislers shouldn't have even been in it.  But there is this thing called Chisler Luck.  The Chislers scoring came from their Rams Defense who had 12 points.  But some could say the Mafia didn't get much scoring either and it was mostly Suisham who had 11 points.  So with the game locked at 25 it came down to Monday Night as the Mafia had Mike James.  And the way the first drive looked it appeared the Mafia would easily win.  Mike James was running all over the Dolphins and then ran to the one foot line...and broke his ankle!  Chisler Luck....

Thomas earned Player of the Week honors with 18 pts
The Close Game: Animals 38 Crush 31
This game was decided in Sunday Night.  After Demaryius Thomas ripped off 3 TDs for 18 big points the Animals lead the Crush 28-15 and seemed to have the game in hand.  But the Crush had Drew Brees and with Drew Brees at home he is bound to have a big day.  And he sure did scoring 16 points that would have won the game 31-28.  But the Animals were not done yet either, getting that dreaded 10 point connection as Romo's only TD pass went to Terrance Williams. The win keeps the Animals in the playoff hunt.  The Crush drop their second in a row and now a game behind first.

The Blow Out:  Sinistars 37 Dragons 8

Bull Durham the new 10 pt connection
Dragons are in serious trouble with out Aaron Rodgers.  They managed only 8 points, their lowest total of the year.  4 from Big Ben and only 4 from their kicker Carpenter.  Sinistars now have the best record in the league after the loss by the Crew, at 9-1.  12 from Stafford lead the way and the Sinistars got TDs from Murray, Jackson, and Kris "Bull" Durham.  Sinistars now have a 2 game lead in the East with 4 games to go and are just getting primed for a deep playoff run.  While the Dragons are not out of it yet, with out Rodgers you might as well stick a fork in them.

Player of the Week: Demaryius Thomas - 18 points - Animals
Thomas was on fire scoring 3 times for the Animals in their victory over the Crush.  It keeps them in the playoff hunt and the rest of the CFFL are hoping they don't make it because they are a dangerous team ranked 4th in points scored.

Killer Bees were ready for the Krauts
Around the League...The Killer Bees knocked off the Krauts and severely hampered their playoff hopes and have pretty much locked up the South expanding their lead to 3 games with 4 games left.  Case Keenum and Riley Cooper both scored 12 points. Interesting move starting Keenum instead of Luck who was playing the Rams, but then only scored 5 points...Juggernauts take another step toward the playoffs getting back to .500 with the 36-29 win over the Mayhem who are pretty much done at 3-7.  The Juggs rookie rushing attack finally came through as Bernard and Labia Bell both scored TDs...In a match up between two franchises that were likely not going anywhere had the Twins coming out on top 23-14 thanks to RGIII's 12 points.  It looked like the Ferrets might get shut out but Kenny Stills "Nash and Young"  grabbed a TD on Sunday Night...The Bums upset the one loss Wrecking Crew 35-17 with 15 huge points from their Kicker Hauschka!  The Crew got zilch from Newton, Gore, and Graham.  Only Brandon Marshall pulled his weight with 12 points.  Bums now have a 1 game lead in the West...

Matchup of Week 11: Killer Bees (7-3) at Sinistars (9-1)
Battle of two division leaders.  Luck vs. Stafford.  Decker and Taint vs. Jackson and Durham? 10 point connection? Sinistars need this game to keep distance from Roulette.  Bees have no real threat in the South.

CFHL Week 2

Mrs. Emma Zetterberg..seems happy
Checkers vs. Goon Crew (5-1)
The two time defending champs got back on track playing the hapless Crew beating them easily 5-1. Zetterberg was the Number One Star of the game netting 3 goals, 3 assists and a big +5.  Zetterberg is clearly the Goon Crew's nemesis.  In last years playoffs it was Zetterberg's assist on the final play of an empty net goal that won the game for the Checkers against the Crew.  Stinky Stamkos also had 3 goals for the Checkers (but at press time in the third week of the CFHL Stamkos has broken his leg and will be out indefinitely).  Checker dominated in +/- (+20 to -5) and Goalie wins (4-1) as Crawford had a great week tallying 3 wins.  The week propelled the Checkers to 2nd place in the Norris only a game behind the Assassins.  The Crew are pathetic and seem to only win PIM category (fittingly).

USSR vs. Krampus Carols (3-2-1)
The USSR won a close one against he Carols, winning goals, assists and PIM by only 4 minutes.  They posted a putrid -14 though.  Both teams had 3 goalie wins Brodeur leading the way for the Krampus Carols posting 2 wins and not allowing a single goal in his two games earning him the Number One Star of the game despite the ultimate loss.  Ovechkin looked good for the USSR getting 3 goals and 2 assists. The victory moved the USSR into first place in the Patrick Division one game up on the Enforcers.
USSR had their throw back unis on

Mayhem on Ice vs. AshBusters (3-2-1)
In another close one the Mayhem were able to pull out the victory despite the AshBusters powerful offense of 13 goals lead by Bryan Little's 3 goals.  The Mayhem got 6 big assists from Patrick Sharp that helped them capture assists 16-12 while they also did some damage on the boards racking up 22 PIM winning.  Chris Steward was the Goon of the Game sitting in the sin bin for 10 minutes...all of which came on their last game on Saturday.  The Mayhem are now an impressive 8-3-1 and are tied with the Bunnies for top record in the league after 2 weeks.

Enforcers vs. Who Give a Puck (3-3)
Getzlaf showing off his hat trick pucks
The Enforcers skated to another draw for the season splitting with Who Give a Puck.  Enforcers picked up Wins, PIM (by only 1 minute) and Goalie wins.  Ryan Getzlaf was on fire before going down with an upper body injury and not playing the last game.  But he did his Enforcing by scoring 4 goals, 2 assists a great +5 and 2 PIM.  Enough to earn him Number One Star of the game. With the Enforcers down 16-12 in PIM,  Jarome Iginla got into a fight on Saturday's game to secure the 3-3 tie.  Duncan Keith and Beauchemin were +/- beasts combining for a +11.

Assassins vs. SLVB (3-3)
Interesting enough the Killer Smurfs also skated to another draw, this time to the Assassins.  This was a tale of two teams.  Assassins clearly the offensive minded team winning both goals and assists as well as +/-, while those crazy Killer Smurfs won the PIM and both goalie categories.  Corey Perry of the Assassins was clearly the Number One Star  scoring 3 goals, 3 assists a +6 and 2 PIM.  Kyle Turris also had a great game along side of Perry, tallying 2 goals, 2 assists and a +5.  The Ginger Twins didn't activate their power this time, or did they, because they certainly played like a Delta Bravo combining for a pedestrian no goals, 2 assists, -8 and only 2 PIM.  What a difference a week makes.  Ben Bishop came up big for the SLVB getting 2 wins and a .940 SV%.
Ginger Twins new sitcom

Rask looked good in net
Fluffy Bunnies vs. Heisenberg's Ice (4-1-1)
As is tradition the Bunnies own the best record in the league and seem to always do well in the regular season. "But cups aren't won in the regular season," says Checkers owner Rick Cherry.  This was probably one of the more boring matchups as neither team had players that played all that well. Nobody scored more that one goal.  Only Keith Yandle had more than 2 assists (he had 3).  Tukka Rask was the only sharp one winning 2 games and a solid .957 SV%.

Player of the Week:  Corey Perry, Assassins - 3 Goals, 3 Assists, +6, 2 PIM.
Corey Perry was all over the ice helping the Assassin split with the SLVB.

Clearly a Delta Bravo
Delta Bravo of the Week: Shea Weber, Enforcers.  0 goals, 0 assists, -7 and no PIM.
This D-Bag of a performance earned him a trip to the bench for Week 3 action.  What a Delta Bravo!

CFFL Week 9 Recap

and so did Cooper
There was a lot of high scores this week in the CFFL....here is how some of the highest flying teams of week 9 faired....

TY scored 3 times!

Juggernauts 49 Killer Bees 44
This game was a barn burner with some pretty incredible performances.  This game was locked at 31 going into Sunday Night. Riley Cooper for the Bees tallied 18 big points to lead the way.  The Juggs had 14 from Russell Wilson and 12 from Ridley.  On Sunday Night the Bees looked good getting 13 points from Andrew Luck...but unfortunately, 3 of Luck's TD passes went to Juggernauts' T.Y. Hilton giving the Juggernauts the 49-44 lead.  Monday night the Bees last hope was the Bears Defense and they could score at any point and almost did picking off a pass at the line of scrimmage but was unable to make it to the endzone.  The Juggs are still 4 games back of the Sinistars, while the Bees, thanks to a loss by the Dragons still hold a 2 game lead in the South.

Wrecking Crew 49 Crush 19
Graham, best trade of year?
It what the media has made into a big rivalry, the Crew had no problem with them.  Drew Brees had an mediocre day getting only 2 TDs....both to Crew TE Jimmy Graham!  The Crew got 10 points from Newton which included a 10 point connection to Greg Olsen.  In fact every player on the Crew scored except for their Defense and Arian Foster.  Foster who didn't play because of a back injury.  "Not sure why the media plays up this match up, I mean I don't find the Crush at all a challenge for us, so they really are not a rival to us," said owner Roy Cherry of the Crew. The victory puts the Crew at 8-1 still 3 games up on the Chislers.  Crush fall to 6-3 and are now tied in the West with the Bums.

Mayhem 48 Roulette 35
The Mayhem who had a total of 2 wins all year appeared to really have no chance against a 6-2 team lead by Peterson, Calvin Johnson and Peyton Manning.  "That's why they play the games!" or "Not so fast my friends"  Manning and Johnson were on byes.  So Roulette had to rely on Alex Smith..who scored nothing.  Amazingly the Roulette still managed 35 points thanks to 14 points from Raven WR Marlon "Brando" Brown.  But the Mayhem came storming back being down 35-30 going into Sunday Night.  Then former Roulette Andre Johnson finally woke up and scored 3 huge TDs giving the Mayhem the 48-35 victory!  Roulette are falling further back, now 2 games behind the Sinistars in the East.
Mayhem were good in this one!

Chiefs D scores 2!
Sinistars 41 Titans 20
The Sinistars keep on rolling and like they needed a bye week, they got one as they played the winless Titans, who at one point looked like they may pull the upset, starting out with a 14-0 early lead.  Then only the kicker scored for the Titans the rest of the weekend as the Stafford-less Sinistars won with 9 from Joe Flacco and 12 points from their defense the Chiefs.  That is a sign of a team of destiny, when key players are on bye, you get your defense to score twice!  The win widens the Sinistars lead in the East by 2 games over the Roulette.

Player of the week: Andre Johnson, Mayhem.  T.Y. Hilton, Juggernauts. Riley Cooper, Killer Bees - all had 18 points.

Nick..Nick "The Dick"
Around the League...Chislers took down the Twins 34-16 despite the Twins' Zac Stacey "Bonus Back" 12 points, who was at one point drafted by the Chislers.  Jugghead Rivers continued to have a good season getting 8 points, but the story for the Chislers was Nick "The Dick" Folk's 14 points.  Chislers now above .500 making a run at a wild card spot...
Mafia survive the Animals 31-30 which if it wasn't for the draw play inside the 5 on Monday Night by Forte early in the game the Animals would have won with the late TD by Alshon Jeffery..who did not win this time.  Playoffs for these two teams are quickly fading away as both are 3-6...In this weeks lamest game of the year, the Ferrets beat the Bums 10-9.  Yeah that's right 10-9.  Jake Locker and Matt Bryant were the only players to score for the Ferrets.  The Bums got 9 points from their kicker Hauschka, which ordinarily is great for a kicker, but when you are starting bunch of players on byes its not enough...The Dragons were dealt a tough loss by the Krauts who took out Aaron Rodgers.  The Dragons were hoping for just one 10 point connection on Monday night to win the game 23-22, but instead the Krauts blitzkrieged Rodgers taking him out with a shoulder injury.  The Dragons had a chance to get to one game back of the Bees, but now their future is uncertain.  Oh by the way, Krauts had Nick Foles on the bench with 28 points....

Krauts take out Rodgers...but for how long?

CFHL Drops the puck!

The CFHL finally dropped the puck on their 3rd season as the Cherry's Checkers begin their defense of the Cherry Cup.
CFHL fans are ready!

Fluffy Bunnies vs. Checkers (4-2)
The Bunnies don't mess around!
The  Checkers got off to a rough start to their quest for a 3rd straight cup going up against the Bunnies, who they stole "Stinky" Stamkos from.  The Checkers dominated in the nets getting 5 wins and a SV% of .924.  Crawford lead the way with 3 wins.  However that was where it stopped for the Checkers as the Fluffy Bunnies won the rest of the categories, goals by just one (11-10). Stamkos did his part firing in 3 goals, but the Number One Star of the game was Chris Kunitz who racked up 4 goals and a +3.  Kunitz and Stamkos will be forever linked from the draft day trade between the Bunnies and Checkers.  Okposo for the Bunnies tallied 5 assists and 6 PIM and earned Second Star Honors.

Hossa and his wife...well done Marian!
Goon Crew vs. Assassins (5-1)
In an early divisional match up the Assassins crushed the Goon Crew 5-1.  The Crew could only manage 4 goals and a pathetic +0.  To make matters worse the Goalies for the Crew had one of the worst weeks in the league getting no wins and a terrible SV% of .888.  Needless to say the Crew have a lot of work cut out for them this season on the waiver wire.  Interesting enough is that former Crew Marian Hossa (Hassa) was the Number One Star for the Assassins scoring 2 goals, 4 assists and a +3.  Marc-Andre Fluery earned Second Star honors with his 3 win, .940 SV%, but the Assassins didn't need much considering the Crew were obviously not ready for the start of the season.

Krampus vs. AshBusters (4-2)
In yet another lopsided game, the Krampus were getting ready for the season stuffing the AshBusters into their sack and beating them with a stick.  Kris Letang was doing most of the beating, leading all players with 8 PIM. Jason Pominville for the AshBusters earned Number One Star honors despite the loss tallying 4 goals, 2 assists and a +4. This also earned him Player of the Week.  Krampus was lead by a balanced attack with Backstrom (3g,1a), Kane (2g,2a) and Moulson "Canadian" (2g,2a).  The AshBusters had some promise in goal between Lundqvist (2 wins, .964) and Howard (2 wins, .911).
Player of the Week Pominville

Mayhem on Ice vs. Who Gives a Puck (5-1)
Who's the #1 Star?  This guy is!
Who Gives a Puck?  Not the Mayhem who hammered the Expansion Pucks.  They beat them and bloodied them going 32-18 in PIM.  John Tavares was the Goon of the Game and the week, with 18 PIM!  It was also enough to earn him Second Star honors as to go along with the 18 PIM, he scored 2 goals in a low scoring game.  Patrick Sharp had 2 goals, 2 assists, and +3 to earn the Number One Star honors.  The Goalies in this game were certainly weak and lucky for the Mayhem, who only had 2 wins and a .895, went up against the Pucks' lame goalies...well make it Goalie, singular.  Jonathan Quick was the only Puck who gave a fuck but only got one win and a putrid .811 SV%.

USSR vs. Heisenberg's Ice (3-3)
What kind of "ice" we talking about here?
The Ruskies and the Ice skated to a draw.  If you thought some of the earlier performances were bad how about these two teams who had a total of 3 goals between all the players.  Couture was the only USSR to score a goal, while Phil Kessel was the only one to score goals for the Ice (2 goals) and earned the Number One Star getting 2 assists and +2 to go along with it oh and 9 PIM to also earn Goon of the Game.  The Ice dominated assists thanks to Sid "The Kid" Crosby's 5 assists.  Heisenberg's Ice goalies were no help either with no wins and a .805 SV% (lowest of the week), but managed to split the week with the USSR.

SLVB vs. Enforcers (2-2-2)
Doublemint Gingers
Well how sweet was this game between husband and wife as they end in the most complete tie you could have 2-2-2, tying in goalie wins and +/- (which is maybe one of the hardest categories to tie in next to SV%).  The Sedin Twins combined for 3 goals, 4 assists, +6, and 4 PIM.  This could be one of the best draft strategies of the year.  "Ginger Twin power...activate! Form of D....form of Bag!" Lets just give the combination of the Ginger Twins the Number One Star and they can share it....(gay).  Mike Smith for the Enforcers had 2 wins and an impressive .967 SV%.

Next Weeks Key Matchups:
Goon Crew vs. Checkers - Biggest rivalry in Fantasy Sports takes center stage in the CFHL as both teams need a big week to keep up with the Assassins who have quickly taken a strong lead in the Norris Division.
