CFFL Week 3

With three weeks in the books, we are already seeing a slight separation with some teams.  There are 2 undefeated teams, Dominators and Whales, with the Whales really looking good.  And then there are the Killers and Stigmatas which both look really bad at 0-3.  Can they turn it around?  They better start soon!

Week 3's action:

Wrecking Crew 22  Stigmatas 8
While Caleb Williams is out for the Stigmatas, this team will be struggling.  They could only get 6 points from their kicker and a 2 point conversion.  The once dangerous running attack of the Crew (at least in Week 1) has been silent, this week scoring zip.  However Crew kicker Boswell did finally manage a good week with 12 points.

Killer Bees 37  Animals 28
Everyone got in the act for the Killer Bees getting scoring from every player except the defense and Bateman.  Cook and "Routen" Tuten both had TDs along with Kelce and McLaurin.  The Animals QB situation is brutal between Daniel Jones and Mayfield.  Jones had only 4 points and Mayfield dislocated his thumb.

Chislers 48  Warbirds 31
Chislers easily survived an early 12 point lead by the Warbirds and Bijan Robinson and rolled to a 48-31 win.  "King Rat Tail" Henry scored 2 more times and already has 6 TDs on this young season.  Then all WRs scored for the Chislers (Burden, Evans, and Metcalf).  It didn't hurt either on MNF that Warbird QB and Kicker came up lame scoring only a total of 7 points.

Dominators 23 (W) Ferrets 23 (OT)
The Dominators were able to come out victorious in OT with their back up kicker scoring 12 points!  "Jack-O-Lantern Head" Lawrence did score 12 points for the Ferrets but an ankle injury to Justin "Grill" Jefferson certainly put the hurt on the Ferret offense.  Lamar finished with 8 points for the Dominators.

Sinistars 37  Killers 10
Sinistars had little trouble dispensing the Killers with 2 TDs from George Kittle.  Hell even Woody "Skid" Marks got in the action scoring a TD.  Killers are reeling, and only got 8 points from Goff and 2 whole points from kicker Lutz.

Cocktails 25  Lunatics 22
Cocktails finally got off the schneid with a win over the Lunatics.  They shook things up benching Burrow and starting Shough and it paid off.  Shough ended up with 16 points, 4 more than Burrow, and that was the difference in the game! Lunatics did manage one 10 point connection between Love and Golden, but not much else.

Juggernauts 35 Legion 23
Not many times do you see a team that has more points on the bench than starting win.  Juggernauts had 47 points on the bench but still won against the Legion.  Rookie Jeremiyah Love finally got in the end zone for the Juggs as did Brock Bowers.

Whales 46  Krauts 38
With 3 TDs from Gibbs and two more from JSN the whales looked like they were going to run away with it.  However the Krauts tried to make it a game getting 16 points from Brock Purdy late along with a McCaffrey score and with Jefferson out, Jordan Addison "Not Madison" caught a TD pass.  The really needed just two more scores but came up short.

Player of the Week:  Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Whales - 18 points

Week 4 Games:

Dominators (3-0) at Wrecking Crew (2-1) (PK)  - All depends if the Crew can get their running game going of Swift and Brown or if Dominators Lamar Jackson takes over the game.  Take the Crew.

Killer Bees (2-1) at Chislers (2-1) (+2) - Not sure how the Bees are a favorite against the Chislers.  Vegas Trap game? I'll stick with Henry and the Chislers plus the points!

Stigmatas (0-3) at Animals (1-2) (-6) - Animals need to figure out their QB situation.  But so does the Stigmatas.  I don't know where the points are going to come from for the Stigmatas.  Lay the 6 with the Animals.

Warbirds (1-2) at Ferrets (1-2) (+4) - Ferrets might be without Jefferson, but I think Lawrence carries the team this week.  Take the points.

Lunatics (1-2) at Sinistars (2-1) (-6) - Sinistars have a lot of firepower. Lunatics lost one of their best RB to IR.  Lay the 6 and take the Sinistars in a rout.

Legion (1-2) at Cocktails (1-2) (+9) - Josh Allen won't lose two in a row.  However 9 points is a lot.  I would take the 9 but Legion previal.

Whales (3-0) at Juggernauts (2-1) (+7) - Whales are rolling.  Gibbs, Skattebo, JSN and Diggs Dig Dug are a dangerous group.  Lay the 7.

Killers (0-3) at Krauts (2-1) (-3) - Killers are reeling right now.  Krauts bounce back after tough loss to the Whales.  Easily cover the 3.
