CFFL Week 4

We’re a quarter of the way through the season, and the picture is starting to take shape. The Animals and Juggernauts stand tall at a perfect 4-0, while the Cocktails are still chasing that elusive first win after falling in overtime heartbreak. Let’s dive in:

Wrecking Crew (1-3) 36 – Dominators (1-3) 24

The Crew finally get into the win column! Drake “Joker Face” London found the end zone for the first time this season, and the Crew capitalized on a dominant outing. Meanwhile, the Dominators simply couldn’t overcome goose eggs from both their QB and kicker—tough to win when you’re playing 6 vs. 8.

Joker Face finds the end zone for first time!

Chislers (3-1) 54 – Killer Bees (2-2)

The Chisler offense exploded. Rookie RB Ashton Jeanty dropped 18 points, Josh Allen added 14 more, and the Chislers hung a league-high 54 points on the Bees. Bo Nix tried to mount a Monday rally with 14 points of his own, but there was no catching this buzzsaw.

Rookie Jeanty scores 3 TDs!

Animals (4-0) 30 – Dragons (1-3) 23

The Animals stayed perfect thanks to “Flying” St. Brown’s 2 TDs and a Lions special teams score. The Dragons fought but couldn’t slay the North leaders, who now hold a one-game edge over the Chislers.

Animals' St. Brown finds the end zone twice in win

Warbirds (2-2) 36 – Ferrets (2-2) 30

What a comeback! Trailing late, the Warbirds struck back with two TD grabs from George Pickens to tie it at 30. Then on Monday night, Courtland Sutton hauled in the game-winner to deliver a huge momentum-shifting victory.  Side note, Ferrets benched Prescott who scored 18 points on the bench...

Sutton with the game winning TD!

Sinistars (3-1) 35 – Lunatics (1-3) 33

Don’t let the record fool you—the Lunatics are no pushover. Goedert (12) and Butker (13) kept them in it, but Patrick Mahomes’ 16-point day carried the Sinistars to a narrow win.

Mahomes tosses 16 points in Sinistar win

Iron Legion (3-1) 41 – Cocktails (0-4) 34 (OT)

Heartbreak for the Cocktails. Jordan Love forced OT with 12 points, but the Legion had answers: a blocked punt return for a TD and, fittingly, kicker Nick Folk delivering 7 points in overtime to seal it. The Cocktails remain winless despite showing life.

Eagles Special Teams return blocked punt for TD!

Juggernauts (4-0) 41 – Whales (2-2) 33

The Juggs keep on rolling. Josh Jacobs “Jingleheimerschmidt” punched in two late TDs to complete the comeback after the Whales had surged ahead. Chase Brown had one last shot to keep the Whales alive on Monday but couldn’t break through. Juggs stay undefeated atop the East.

Jacobs scores twice for the Juggs in the win

Krauts (2-2) 25 – Killers (1-3) 20

The defending champs clawed back to .500 with Stafford tossing 12 points. The Killers’ RB woes continue—Chubb was blanked, and Dobbins rushed for 101 yards but never found paydirt. That lack of scoring cost them dearly.

Stafford scores 12 points in the Kraut win!

πŸ’ͺ Player of the Week:

Ashton Jeanty, RB, Chislers - 18 points

CFFL Week 3

What a wild week! Defensive scores, blocked kicks, and multiple last-minute wins made Week 3 one to remember. Let’s break it down.

Dragons (1-2) – 29 | Wrecking Crew (0-3) – 16

The Crew’s nightmare season continued, and this one stung. The Dragons got TDs from both Etienne and Kyren Williams, while the Crew committed a colossal coaching blunder. Benching Tre Tucker and Will Lutz cost them 14 points…which would’ve flipped the final to 30-29 Crew. Instead, they fall to 0-3. Doh!

Animals (3-0) – 34 | Killer Bees (2-1) – 23

The showdown of unbeatens didn’t disappoint. Down 23-16 late Monday, the Animals needed Lamar Jackson and “Flying” St. Brown to deliver—and of course, they did. Lamar threw three TDs, St. Brown added another, and the Animals pulled out a dramatic 34-23 win to stay perfect.

Lamar gets Animals win with 3 TD passes

Chislers (2-1) – 28 | Warbirds (1-2) – 25

Here we go again—Chisler Luck. Trailing 25-16 heading into Monday, they needed two TDs from Mark Andrews. He grabbed one early, but time ticked away…until 29 seconds remained, when Andrews hauled in his second. Chislers steal another improbable win.

Andrews scores game winner with only seconds left!

Ferrets (2-1) – 37 | Dominators (1-2) – 20

The Dominators got early sparks from Tony Pollard and the Seahawks D, but Ferrets fought back behind Aubrey’s 6 points and McBride’s TD. Russell Wilson then faceplanted for the Dominators, tossing balls into tunnels instead of to receivers. Gibbs padded the Ferrets’ lead Monday, sealing a 37-20 win.

Gibbs scores twice in Ferret win

Sinistars (2-1) – 41 | Killers (1-2) – 26

Jonathan Taylor put this one away quickly with three rushing TDs. The Killers not only lost on the scoreboard but lost key pieces: Mike Evans (hamstring, weeks) and JK Dobbins (Achilles, season). Brutal day all around.

Taylor runs all over Killers

Lunatics (1-2) – 40 | Cocktails (0-3) – 18

The expansion Lunatics earned their first-ever franchise win, and it was a statement. Montgomery (12) and Bateman (6) sealed it late, while the Cocktails’ QB mess continues—Jayden Daniels sat hurt, Love scored only 4, and the rest of the squad sputtered. Cocktails drop to a shocking 0-3.

Montgomery helps Lunatics get first win

Juggernauts (3-0) – 33 | Iron Legion (2-1) – 30

The Juggs remain undefeated, this time behind Jordan Mason’s 12 points and another 11 from golden-footed kicker Spencer Shrader. Legion got 13 from Geno Smith but came up just short. Juggernauts now sit atop the East.

Jordan Mason scores 12 in the Juggs win

Whales (2-1) – 47 | Krauts (1-2) – 44

Game of the year candidate. The Krauts got two defensive TDs from the Vikings and still lost. The Whales only scored with three players, but they were monsters: Jalen Hurts (18, including a hookup with A.J. Brown) and kicker McLaughlin (17!) carried the load. Henry had a chance to steal it late but was stuffed at the goal line four straight times—then fumbled it away. Heartbreaker for the champs.

Henry fumbling away Krauts hopes for win

πŸ† Game of the Week

Whales 47 – Krauts 44
A heavyweight slugfest with defensive scores, kicker heroics, and a wild finish at the goal line.

⭐ Player of the Week

CFFL Week 2

If Week 1 was a grind, Week 2 was a shootout. Three teams posted 50-burgers, three more cracked 40+, and defenses everywhere are shaking their heads. Let’s dive in.

Ferrets (2-0) – 46 | Wrecking Crew (0-2) – 18

The Ferrets kept their hot start rolling, and sweeter still, they knocked off rival Crew. Trevor Lawrence tossed in 12 points, but it was kicker Brandon Aubrey who stole the show with a monster 16-point outing. Meanwhile, Crew RBs Zach Charbonnet “I like Charbonnet” and Bucky “Buc-ees” Irving were bottled up with zeroes.

Aubrey was money for the Ferrets

Animals (2-0) – 53 | Chislers (1-1) – 21

The Animals unleashed the week’s highest score, fueled by Lamar Jackson’s 16 (including a 10-point hookup with DeAndre Hopkins) and three TDs from Amon-Ra “Flying” St. Brown. Stunningly, Chislers’ MVP Josh Allen put up a goose egg. That’s the story.

St. Brown scored 3 times for Animals!

Killer Bees (2-0) – 50 | Warbirds (1-1) – 17

Another 50-burger! The Bees keep buzzing with RBs Achane and Cook combining for 18 and rookie QB Bo Nix adding 12. The Warbirds took a hit as Joe Burrow left with a toe injury that could sideline him for weeks.

Dominators (1-1) – 43 | Dragons (0-2) – 31

The Dragons made the switch to Aaron Rodgers, only to see Tua outscore him from the bench. Javonte Williams found the end zone again, and Puka “Tuukka” Nacua provided the highlight with a gutsy 45-yard TD run on 4th-and-1. Dominators steady the ship at 1-1, while the Dragons remain winless.

Nacua with a huge run on 4th and 1!

Sinistars (1-1) – 52 | Cocktails (0-2) – 31

Yes, another 50-burger! The Sinistars erupted as all four WRs (Adams, Nico Collins, Quentin Johnston, and Cedric Tillman) scored TDs. Only their defense stayed quiet. The Cocktails stuck with rookie Jayden Daniels, who outscored Love by one point, but still fell well short.

Adams among 4 wideouts to score for Sinistars

Juggernauts (2-0) – 41 | Krauts (1-1) – 16

The Juggs finally toppled the reigning champs with a convincing win. Rookie Malik Nabers delivered 12 points, Kayshon Boutte “Booty” hauled in a TD, and kicker Spencer Shrader racked up five field goals. Krauts couldn’t get rolling this week.

5 FGs for Schrader!

Killers (1-1) – 35 | Lunatics (0-2) – 15

The Killers avoided an 0-2 start thanks to Jared Goff’s monster 5-TD performance, earning him Player of the Week honors with 20 points. The Lunatics’ struggles continued, as they remain winless in their expansion debut.

Goff goffed Lunatics

Iron Legion (2-0) – 21 | Whales (1-1) – 14

It wasn’t flashy, but the Legion got it done behind TDs from Saquon Barkley and James Conner. Rookie QB J.J. McCarthy came up empty and will miss time with an ankle injury. The Whales’ WR woes continued, posting zero points from the position for the second straight week.

Barkley leading the Legion to victory

πŸ† Game of the Week

Animals 53 – Chislers 21
The Animals mauled the Chislers in shocking fashion, torching the defending MVP for a donut and posting the week’s highest score.

⭐ Player of the Week

Jared Goff, QB, Killers – 20 points
Five TD passes later, the Killers are back in the win column.

πŸ“ˆ Week 2 Power Rankings

Two weeks in, and the landscape is already shifting fast:

  1. Killer Bees (2-0) – A 50-burger and balance everywhere.

  2. Animals (2-0) – Lamar, St. Brown, Hopkins…scary trio.

  3. Iron Legion (2-0) – Ground game strong, but McCarthy injury looms.

  15. Dragons (0-2) – QB shuffle didn’t help.

  16. Lunatics (0-2) – Growing pains for the new squad.

Dragons (-3) at Wrecking Crew - Take the Crew in a bounce back week

Warbirds at Chislers (-1) - Warbirds drop second in a row.  Lay the points with the Chislers

Killers at Sinistars (-6) - That's a lot of points.  Take the 6 and the Killers, but Sinistars get the win

Lunatics at Cocktails (+4) - No way Cocktails lose to an expansion team.

Legion at Juggernauts (-9) - This game will be way closer.  Grab the points and the Legion

Whales at Krauts (+4) - Defending champs a dog.  Dog is barking, take the Krauts

CFFL Week 1

The long offseason is over, and the wait was worth it! Week 1 is in the books with a somewhat low-scoring start to the season. Let’s see how long that lasts…

Chislers 41 – Wrecking Crew 32

The Crew held a 32-21 lead going into Sunday night, but Josh Allen (20 points) picked up right where his MVP season left off, leading a Chislers comeback. Baker chipped in 12 points in the loss, including a quirky 10-point hookup with rookie Bucky “Bukees” Irving. The scoreline doesn’t show how close this one really was.

Allen scoring 6 of his 20 points for the win!

Animals 29 – Ferrets 15

The Ferrets carried a 15-9 lead into the primetime games with no players left, and the Animals had plenty of ammo. Lamar Jackson (14) erased the deficit, then Aaron Jones iced it with a Monday night TD grab. Jake Moody “Blues” missed two FGs for the Ferrets—though it wouldn’t have changed the outcome.

Lamar a good start for the Animals

Warbirds 27 – Dragons 17

Warbirds managed the W despite a sluggish start from Joe Burrow. Bijan Robinson’s 50-yard TD justified their first-round pick, while Ja’Marr Chase stayed quiet. On the Dragons’ bench, Aaron Rodgers (16) outscored starter Tua’s dud, possibly setting up a QB controversy for Week 2.

Robinson with a huge 50 yard TD!

Killer Bees 37 – Dominators 24

The Dominators scrambled to get a lineup in but jumped ahead thanks to two early Javonte Williams TDs. The Bees struck back with RBs De’Von Achane and James Cook both finding the end zone, while rookie Emeka Egbuka hauled in two scores. The sting was too much for the shaky Dom start.

Great start by the rookie Egbuka

Juggernauts 28 – Sinistars 21

Sinistars got all 21 points from Mahomes and kicker Matt Prater, but it wasn’t enough. The Juggs rode a Brock Purdy-to-Kittle 10-point connection (plus another 8 points total). Unfortunately, Kittle pulled a hamstring and could miss time, but both squads showed strong depth with plenty of points left on the bench.

Purdy and Kittle questionable next week

Krauts 25 – Cocktails 23

The Cocktails had a comfy 23-6 lead but couldn’t hold off the defending champs. Derrick “King Rat Tail” Henry’s two TDs closed the gap, and Vikings kicker Reichard sealed it with a pair of MNF field goals. Side note: Cocktails started rookie QB Daniels (4) over Jordan Love (8)…which would have been the difference. A short-term regret, but maybe the right call long-term.

The King showing no signs of slowing down

Iron Legion 47 – Killers 24

The Legion came out swinging with the week’s top score.  J.J. McCarthy (15), including a 10-point hookup with Justin Jefferson, led the charge. Add in TDs from Saquon Barkley and James Conner, and the Killers never stood a chance. A scary start for the rest of the league.

Impressive debut for the young signal caller

Whales 23 – Lunatics 17

The expansion Lunatics showed some fight, but in the end, it was QB Jalen Hurts who carried the Whales to victory with two rushing TDs. The Lunatics got all 17 from Kyler Murray and Harrison Butker, while the Whales’ WR corps failed to produce. Still, when you’re facing an expansion team, it didn’t matter this week.

Hurts back at it again for the Whales

πŸ† Game of the Week

Chislers 41 – Wrecking Crew 32
A Sunday Night comeback powered by Josh Allen—already playing like he wants another MVP trophy.

πŸ“Š Stat of the Week

The Iron Legion’s 47 points set the early bar for the league’s highest weekly score. Can anyone top it next week?

πŸ’ͺPlayer of the Week:

Josh Allen, QB, Chislers - 20 points

🏈Week 2 games:

Wrecking Crew at Ferrets (-6)  Line doesn't seem right, take Crew plus the points

Chislers at Animals (+3)  Chislers easily cover

Warbirds at Bees (-2)  This could be a close one.  Take the points with the Warbirds

Dragons at Dominators (+5)  Rodgers get the start and the Dragons get the win, but not by more than 5

Sinistars at Cocktails (+4)  Cocktails getting points?  Take the Cocktails!

Juggernauts at Krauts (-1)  Defending champs at home in Berlin and only laying 1??  Take the Krauts to the bank

Killers at Lunatics (-4)  Killers bounce back and win outright.

Iron Legion at Whales (PK) Could be game of the week.  Take home team Whales.

πŸ“ˆ Week 1 Power Rankings

It’s only Week 1, but here’s how the league stacks up after the opening games:

  1. Iron Legion (1-0) – A dominant 47-point debut makes them the early team to beat.

  2. Chislers (1-0) – Josh Allen looks unstoppable; comeback win sets the tone.

  3. Killer Bees (1-0) – Rookie Egbuka + RB firepower = dangerous balance.

  4. Krauts (1-0) – The champs survive a scare, but Henry still wears the crown.

  5. Juggernauts (1-0) – Solid depth and a Purdy-to-Kittle connection (injury watch).

  6. Warbirds (1-0) – Survived despite Burrow’s slow start. Bijan looks like the real deal.

  7. Animals (1-0) – Lamar and Jones carried the load, but questions linger.

  8. Whales (1-0) – Hurts bailed them out, WRs need to wake up.

  9. Wrecking Crew (0-1) – Tough loss despite a strong showing; no shame in falling to Allen.

  10. Sinistars (0-1) – Got all their points from Mahomes/Prater; need help elsewhere.

  11. Cocktails (0-1) – Wrong QB start cost them a win, but potential is there.

  12. Dominators (0-1) – Managed some highlights, but shaky prep shows.

  13. Dragons (0-1) – QB drama brewing already…Rodgers over Tua?

  14. Ferrets (0-1) – Moody Blues + lack of firepower = rough start.

  15. Killers (0-1) – Never in it against Legion’s fireworks.

  16. Lunatics (0-1) – Expansion growing pains; QB/K carried all the weight.
